We have stayed here many time because it is a beautiful building in an excellent location. The general staff are outstanding and the food and rooms are amazing. Unfortunately the front desk is just not the same as the rest of the experience. When I wrote in to ask for an early check in I got no reply- on my arrival I asked about this and was told because I got no reply that means it’s fine. I find this odd as I explained that we were arriving after a three part flight over 18 hours. We have stayed here at least 3 other times and my comment for each time would be pretty much the same - I feel the front desk could do better to Mach their rest of the experience.

Amazing staffs and bedroom with Seaview is breath-taking

A great hotel. Great location on the Marine Drive. The only problem was the service in the Veranda restuarant which was very bad Otherwise a n enjoyable stay.

Very nice holiday

Ein mit 130 Jahr Geschichted, schönes Hotel und in exzellenter Lage, Das Zimmer ist gross und schöne eingerichtet. Das Personal ist grossartig, die sind immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Das Service ist sehr gut. Das Frühstück in einem gross, traditionellen Restaurant ist reichhaltig und gut.

This is a lovely hotel, however it is looking a little dated and needs a lick of paint. It was a lovely location in port Elizabeth . We booked this hotel with my partners father who is 80, and we did not realise it didn’t have a lift , luckily we where on the first floor The pool area was nice Lovely beach, and lovely beach to walk along , and not to be bothered by anyone. Nice breakfast

We recently attended at national sporting event - 03 to 06 April 2025 and chose The Beach Hotel for our accommodation as it was in walking distance to the event venue. I would like to compliment the staff who were very accommodating of our needs over this weekend and who went the extra mile, with a genuine smile on their faces. you are an asset to this establishment.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days. It was a nice stay. Only thing that let it down was having kids asking us for money during our dinner. Couldn't understand why security let them in and then took so long to get rid of them. Rooms very lovely though and so was the food.

This hotel is tired and in need of an overhaul. Our room was supposed to be standard, hardly any view. The WC takes a while to fill and the plumbing does make a noise in the middle of the night. Most of the staff are quite helpful. The breakfast frenzy starts at 7 am but coffee not ready and tea urn cold. Lunch and snacks on the Verandah were good.

We ended our holiday here with the intention of relaxing after a hectic schedule. This hotel with excellent staff and a superb fine dining restaurant gave us exactly what we were looking for. The security in the car park was excellent and gave us confidence that our car was safe at night.

Cannot recommend enough the beach hotel is a fantastic hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff could not do enough!

Great experience at The Beach Hotel! Neat and comfortable rooms with everything that one could want. Three restaurants/ drinking areas on the premises which allows for great choice. The food was exceptional and the staff all very friendly and kind.
