Thank you Amanda and Peter for making this a lovely family holiday. Rooms were great and in easy walking distance to everything in Port Douglas, including the Main Street, beach and marina. We especially loved the pool and spent many hours in there. A bonus was having you book our day trips - our low isles and Daintree visits were awesome. And recommendations for restaurants was very much appreciated. The Tin Shed was a fave. Overall, a getaway we will never forget (& will most likely return to!).

WE ARE A RETIRED COUPLE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM A VERY ENJOYABLE AND RELAXING 6-NIGHT STAY AT OUTRIGGER APARTMENTS, PORT DOUGLAS, AFTER THE END OF SOME BUSY NORTH QUEENSLAND COACH TOURING. WE CHOSE TO STAY AT OUTRIGGER BASED ON LOCATION AND THE MANY FAVOURABLE REVIEWS LEFT BY OTHER GUESTS BEFORE US. WE LIKED THE APARTMENTS’ LOCATION IN A QUIET STREET THAT WAS EASY WALKING DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE OF TOWN, AND UPON ARRIVAL WE WERE IMMEDIATELY IMPRESSED BY THE CLEANLINESS AND SPACIOUSNESS OF OUR TASTEFULLY DECORATED AND WELL-MAINTAINED FIRST FLOOR 1-BEDROOM APARTMENT - COMPLETE WITH A GOOD-SIZED BALCONY SHADED FROM THE HOT LATE AFTERNOON SUN. WE ALSO ENJOYED OUR TIME RELAXING AROUND THE NICELY LANDSCAPED POOL, HEATED TO JUST THE RIGHT TEMPERATURE THAT IT WAS STILL REFRESHING BUT WITHOUT ANY INITIAL ‘SHOCK EFFECT’. AMANDA AND PETER WERE EXCELLENT HOSTS – GENUINELY NICE PEOPLE WITH EXCELLENT ADVICE TO OFFER ON PLACES TO EAT AND SHOP, AND ATTRACTIONS TO VISIT. AT DEPARTURE TIME WE WERE MADE TO FEEL WE WERE LEAVING NEW FRIENDS BEHIND, AND CAN DEFINITELY RECOMMEND OUTRIGGER APARTMENTS TO OTHERS AS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN PORT DOUGLAS.

The Outrigger is perfectly positioned in a quieter street in Port Douglas. A short walk to supermaket, restaurants and the beach. Loved the pool. Our one bedroom apartment was well equipped with everything that you would need to make life easy. Amanda and Peter are wonderful hosts.

My husband and I recently spent a delightful week at the Outrigger. Our penthouse apartment was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, with a spacious balcony overlooking the pool. Our hosts were fantastic and extremely helpful. We enjoyed borrowing and swapping books from the bookshelf, and also the idea of using food items such as jam, butter and teabags left by other guest in the communal fridge, as well as leaving some of our own. This was very convenient and helped prevent waste. The property is located in a quiet area, just a short distance from the main beach, the marina and the town centre. We would certainly recommend The Outrigger to others.

This was our first family holiday as a family of four (2.5yrs old and 5month old) and it was everything we’d hoped for plus more!! We could not recommend Port Douglas Outrigger more. Amanda and Peter are wonderful hosts, from the moment we booked until the moment we left, we felt so welcomed. They had great tour recommendations and took care of all the bookings. They had cot and highchair in the apartment ready for us when we arrived and the welcomed us like family. The apartments are very clean and well maintained, with everything you need just like home and the pool was the perfect temperature and a great size. The apartments are within an easy walking distance to the town and the beach (we did this multiple times a day with the kids). We will certainly be back very soon! We stayed for a week. Mainly to see the outer reef. And the Daintree rainforest (Recommend calypso and Sailaway) Rooms were, simple, clean and tidy. Everything you need. Close to the main drag of restaurants and bars. Amanda and Peter are great hosts if you want a more personal stay then the outrigger is it.

A hidden gem . A home away from home with everything you need . Walking distance to everywhere . Bright , clean quiet and relaxing apartments with lovely pool and bbq area . Amanda and Peter the managers are the loveliest people and truely exceptional at what they do . Have stayed here twice and will be back next year !

Best place ever! Peter and Amanda were very pleasant to talk to and would do anything to help you. The Resort is very well located, a pleasant walk to shopping ***** in the Main Street, the Yatch club, Church Tin Shed and Marina. The Resort itself is clean and has everything one needs.

Amanda and Peter were great hosts and provided advice on local restaurants and places to visit. The unit had everything we needed and the added bonus of a “share kitchen “ where guests leave leftover kitchen goods when departing. The place is close to the beach and Main Street.
