MarSenses Puerto Pollensa Hotel & Spa

First visit, so I hope my comments help you choose this great hotel and helps the management with I think could be improved. Location about a road back from a nice beach. Close to lots of restaurants and bars. Large market held in the main square. All the staff are wonderful helpful and friendly and nothing too much trouble. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere and grounds kept pristine. Thanks to you all. The pool bar serves very good food tasty and freshly made. The main restaurant has three night where one course is cooked to order a al carte. These are very good. The main buffet is OK the standard items as expected but don’t expect it to be hot, empty containers slow to be replaced. The desserts are wonderful though. There is a barbecue on Sunday night don’t bother meat tough and poor. Breakfast standard items. The bread knife is very blunt and at night they expect you to cut on a swinging unit good luck with that. Nice swimming pools nice and clean and very good but as usual expect to get up at 0630 to get the best beds all gone by 0930. Very few removed as per rules. Nice pool towels. One is stated as a jacuzzi pool but was not working most of the day. Not sure what the life guard does or can see from where he sits? We had a pool view suite. These are a nice size but found the to be very uninspiring. These are a main area has a small well equipped kitchenette everything you need to cook with if you want. No washing up liquid. Small table and two chairs and stool settee not great or comfy. Large TV but English Chanel’s keep breaking up so not watchable. Balcony with chairs and table and clothes drying rack. Bedroom smaller TV. Bed poor oversize mattress on a cheap bed base overhanging edge sides. Could do with more storage for smaller item. Lighting over bright. Maybe a dressing table with draws. Safe that you have to pay for. These bedroom need a proper interior designer refresh. Bathroom area, sink is in an open area so no privacy. The sink is utterly useless to use correctly, looks nice but that’s all. The filler spout goes across the middle on the sink so you get two small areas to use. Either replace with a shorter spout or an adjustable one. Shower an WC behind opaque glass door. Nice large shower rainfall shower head. Hand held shower too. We had to have our changed as guessing ours was one before the renovations and stuck on full blast, the was replaced. Combined hair shampoo and shower with a separate conditioner. Evening entertainment every other night. This was a very good standard but held on the small area outside the front of the hotel.

It is quite hard to give negative comments to a hotel that is mainly very good. It is rated as 4* after all, so my comments must be at that level. The staff are great, cleanliness is good but the rooms need to feel more luxurious and more what you would expect from 4* accommodation. The shower door leaked all over the floor and needs to open inwards to seal properly and not inhibit a cramped toilet area. A couple more towel hooks would help too. The couch seating in the lounge area needs to be, and look, much better and perhaps add a nice chair. At least one folding suitcase stand is essential for the rooms (that would not cost much to fix). The bed base is/was very cheap and not at all substantial, and the bed itself should have an attractive cover to enhance the ambiance of the bedroom. The lighting needs to be more subtle in my view. Overall find it hard to write this review about a hotel that is trying so hard, is in a good location, well maintained, clean and staffed with really pleasant people and with good food and restaurant, and I did enjoy the stay. But it could have left me feeling so much better if the rooms were more 4* The feel of your room is what you remember most really.

My first time at Marsenses and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and I liked the contemporary feel of the hotel. Everywhere was kept spotless. Great location for beach, bars, restaurants and supermarket across the road. We bought drinks for our room as the hotel prices can be a bit on the steep side. However we are hoping to return next year.

Mars Senses is a fantastic hotel. This was my partners 8th visit and my 4th. Everything about this hotel, for us, is perfect. We love the set up of the suites, the pool area, the restaurant, the food is exceptional and the staff are brilliant, so happy and helpful. We always stay 'half board' and that works best for us. This time I had a hot stone massage and I have to say, Yolanda was incredible, it was so relaxing. I would also like to compliment the staff on reception who are always very helpful, the staff in the restaurant who make your meals a happy event and mostly the cleaning staff who keep the rooms and pool area spotless. This year, Carla on reaction was exceptional with her help and advice. I also used the gym every day, but the pool would benefit from being slightly heated, it was freezing cold on a morning. Puerto Pollensa is just a delightful little town. I love the Pine Walk early mornings. The beach is spotless and the shops and cafes on the front are excellent. All in all, our perfect holiday, happy place

The hotel is in an excellent location on the edge of the resort . All staff were very attentive and friendly. There was a good selection of food in the restaurant always presented to a high standard. Would definitely stay at the hotel again

We had a great experience on our holiday. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Excellent choice of food. Plenty sun beds for all the guests.
