After experiencing bugs in the beds in multiple rooms at the Seaside Boutique Hotel, we showed up to the Best Western around 11:00 pm looking for a room for the evening. This hotel was highly rated and we were hopeful it would be a reprieve from what we'd just experienced. We approached the front desk at the Best Western to make a reservation for that night only to learn that we couldn’t because we were BLACKLISTED from making a reservation there. Initially, we thought the front desk associate was playing a joke on us after having heard the story about what we’d just experienced, but he wasn’t. He had our names on a post-it in front of him and refused to rent us a room. In shock, we drove 40 minutes to Corpus and stayed for the night. The following morning, we contacted Best Western to get more information on the blacklist reasoning, only to find out that, you guessed it, THIS PROPERTY SHARES A MANAGER WITH SEASIDE BOUTIQUE HOTEL (the place where we experienced bugs in our bed). Jeremy, the manager, told the front desk agent not to rent to us and claimed that he was unable to find the bugs we complained about. In addition, he had his front desk person the following day relay his message instead of calling me himself like I requested. This experience was scarring and makes me question every review on the internet. Moral of the story… avoid Seaside “Boutique” Hotel and Best Western, check for bed bugs, and frankly, stay in Corpus and drive in for the day because Port A is over priced. We’ll definitely be reporting this place to the Health Department and the Better Business Bureau.
