Sunny Poreč by Valamar, ex Crystal

Perfect holiday. Beautiful Porec. Don’t hesitate and just go. We like storage room for our bikes, animation program, many cycleroutes.

Poor facilities, nothing in evening. Carpets stained & threadbare. Food cold but adequate. Poor drinks choice and nowhere to buy a drink between breakfast and 1pm when pool bar opens. Pool surrounds cracked and potentially hazardous. Use of hotel next door which is much better. The surrounding are is beautiful- 20 minute woodland coastal walk or landtrain to Porec with nice restaurants and boat trips.

The vacation and stay at the Suny Valamar hotel is commendable. From the staff, who are absolutely professional and kind, to the food that has something for everyone and is of high quality, and what is very important, a lot of local ingredients. The entire hotel complex is for all needs.

Good day, our impressions regarding our staying are absolutely terrible. We are regular customers of Valamar, and we were here more than 15 times. We are shocked about the quality of service, nothing has been provided us in our room. Got nothing: teapot was absent, glasses were absent, slippers and bath robes were also absent, are you serious thinking that it is four star level hotel??? We are so disappointed. Even shampoo and body gel was not granted, only one big bottle which is called three in one( shampoo, gel, conditioner) Is it normal?? We are coming in the most boiling and stifling time during the summer season and neither one nor two bottles has not been placed in our room. Is it also right, especially considering the fact that I came with an elderly woman?? Last time here was in 2021 and everything was much more better and it freaks out the imagination. We wouldn’t recommend your hotel to other partners&friends…

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful location. Firstly, be careful if you book with Thomas Cook because they use a third party airline TUI and your baggage allowance is only two cases which fit in overhead lockers, so you must pay extra for 1/2 20kg cases. also, you have to pay for your own transport from Pula airport to this hotel, about Euro 140.00 each way. This hotel is highly recommended if you have children, there is much for them to do at the hotel and also in the surrounding area as you walk into the town. The food is good. Breakfast is well laid out and there is a very good choice. The Brunch from 11.00 to 13.00 is also very good. The evening meals are of the same quality and selection is by buffet as are the rest of the meals here, you serve yourself. Beware though, the restaurant can get very crowded when it opens at 19.00 and it may take some time as you have to queue up behind as many as to 20 people before you can chose your meal. It would probably be more civilised if the hotel had two sittings, one at 19.00 and one at 20.00. Our room was classed as superior but it was far from that. It was in fact very small. In comparison to a Premier Inn room back in the UK, Premier Inn rooms are far bigger. Maybe we just happened on a very small room in this hotel. The cleaning of the room is daily if that's what you want and is excellent. Fresh towels every day. The staff on the reception desk are also very helpful.

It was a beautiful experience, friendly and very helpful staff, clean rooms and everything was superlative. The hotel is in good location, close to the see. Very good for the children with a lot of activities. The food was many choices and tasty.
