Set back between tall cliffs, Senhora da Rocha Beach is a small area of sand with a calm and clear sea, ideal for both swimming or as a departure point for boat excursions along the coast to discover the nearby grottoes. To the west, the beach ends in a rock formation that separates it from Nova Beach even if a tunnel cut through the rocks provides a connection. Standing on this rocky outcrop is the enchanting Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha believed to have been built in the 14th century to house the statue within.
