Hotel la Plazuela

Attractive, centrally located hotel in a historic spanish style building with courtyard. Nice rooms and decor with spacious modern bathrooms and a good walk in shower. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was simple (eggs as usual). On site pasta/pizza restaurant for lunch or dinner. I can highly recommend the pizza - so much topping. What let it down for me was the lack of air conditioning; I found it hard to sleep as I was so hot and the very firm pillows.

I stayed for two nights in La Plazuela in August. Popayan is crying out for a high quality boutique hotel. It simply doesn't have one as far as I could tell. The atmosphere is more of a student town with very few visitors. As a modest accommodation offering, La Plazuela is centrally located, with some vestiges of the colonial white washed architecture found around the city. It's a little old fashioned snd smells of furniture polish, which reminded me of long vanished hotels from my youth. There is a promising courtyard with high arches and greenery. The rooms are clean and most have recently renovated bathrooms. Ask to see a few rooms. I had a very bright and tiny room at the back that overlooked an orange tree. This had to be changed as there was an ongoing burglar alarm honking from a neighbouring property. My new room opened up onto the interior courtyard and was very dark, with almost no natural light. Breakfast is a meagre offering by Colombian standards. I was hungry again by 10am! Overall a functional place for a few nights. An old fashioned ambience. There is potential for something better to arise from the basic bones.

Hotel in centro, aperto anche al pubblico per ristorante al piano , lestanze confortevoli l’unica pecca che si affacciano su strada molto trafficato a tutte le ore, personale molto gentile e preparato Colazione da dimenticare molto limitata con poca scelta

Me encantó el lugar. Es una casa muy bien conservada, y con las adaptaciones necesarias para que la estadía sea más cómoda. Queda a una cuadra de la plaza principal. La atención del personal es maravillosa. Hicimos check out y sin problema dejamos allí el equipaje. Pese a estar en una calle de gran movilidad, tiene unas puertas que permiten aislar el ruido externo.

Bel établissement du 18ème siècle en plein centre de la jolie Popayan. Notre chambre était très confortable avec une bonne literie. La salle de bain bien équipée avec une grande douche à l'italienne. Gros bémol : petit déjeuner médiocre.

Etablissement situé en plein cœur du centre historique de Popayan. Dispose d'un parking privé à proximité. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, bien aménagées et fonctionnelles. Petit déjeuner correct sans plus. Le personnel de réception est fort sympathique et bienveillant. Une excellente adresse a recommander sans hésiter.
