RNLI College

Just returned from a very enjoyable weekend at the RNLI College staying in their 60 bedroom hotel. Check-in was quick and simple. The Reception staff were warm and friendly and gave us all the information we needed for my stay. We were booked onto a complementary 'Discovery Tour' of the Lifeboat Training Facilities. Top marks to Steve Howey, our tour guide, for an excellentve informative and, sometimes, amusing tour. We learnt so much from him. Our room, which was on the first floor, was spotless and so well presented with all the facilities needed to make our stay a pleasant one. The breakfast was exceptional. Fresh fruit, good range of cereal and a choice of fresh bread. The cooked breakfast buffet was well stocked and well prepared. Have to give full praise to the Hospitality General Manager Jennie Mizen. She runs a well organised team that ensured our weekend break was the best it could be - although they were themselves hampered by 'Network Issues' that was out of their control. Nevertheless, it did not spoil our really pleasant stay. Well Done RNLI College +++++

A very special place to stay for a few days break on the coast, in fact so good we extended our stay. Abbie and Rachel and colleagues in reception were so extremely helpful and friendly, just like every member of the team both in the fabulous relaxed restaurant and importantly the very high standard of housekeeping. Of course not forgetting the great tour we had from Evelyn of the inquire RNLI college, highlighting the ethos history and further of the RNLI. Awesome plus!

Coming from a seafaring family, I have long supported the RNLI, and this a wonderful place to stay at the heart of RNLI operations. Rooms are not always available to the general public, as priority is to those on courses there, so it's a bonus to be able to get in when we are in the area. All the rooms are of a good size, the bed is comfy and all have a view over Holes Bay - another bonus. The food is superb and everyone is so welcoming and keen to talk to you about their roll there. Thoroughly recommended.

From the moment that we arrived every member of staff were most welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for everyone. The rooms were spotless with plenty of space and great views across the harbour. Breakfast was included and again nothing was too much trouble. Being a coelic it is always a concern when eating anywhere, but not here. Staff on hand to cook glutenfree toast and hash browns. Great selection of Breakfast items, juices and hot drinks Great value for money a must stay place.

A great location with the most friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Had a lovely meal in Riggers Restaurant where the staff were exemplary in their service, as they were again at breakfast (also delicious) the following morning.

I came for the Sunday roast today and I highly would recommend!! we had a superb meal today! With a very lovely view looking out up on the water, very quick service and lovely servers especially lotty who helped us with our itinerary in Poole!!
