The hotel is right in the centre and lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel was spotless and very clean and the staff are so helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel.

+ Close to the centre. The receptionist kindly allowed us to check in early. Clean room. Friendly staff.
- The breakfast is not very nice. Horrible coffee. The bread and coffee are better at the supermarket across the road. Unfortunately double is 2 twin beds together.

This small hotel (30 rooms) in the centre of Ponta Delgada (Azores) has his own garage for free and free WiFi. Everything is nearby this hotel, (also the harbour and restaurants). The rooms are very quiet, and the bathroom is clean. Really friendly people are helping you at the reception and the continental breakfast was good - besides that there is a good supermarket in the same street.

Wanted: a conveniently-located comfortable hotel. Found: the Hotel Matriz. Flight delays from Lisbon meant I arrived after midnight but the night manager took care of all my needs. A comfortable room but looking out on a major building project - the only thing to see from my window. I didn't come here for the view, so no problem (although the noise at my siesta time was a bit invasive). In the room, everything I would expect of this category hotel. Breakfast was adequate but, after a week, it gets a bit repetitive. Car parking (free) is three floors below the hotel and best if the rental car is SMALL! Would I stay there again? ABSOLUTELY!

We had a very nice stay. The property was fine although nothing special except the great location. There didn't seem to be a lot of other hotels near the city center and this one's location certainly made for an enjoyable visit to Puerto Delgado.

After leaving our first accommodation after 2 nights of a 7 night stay because of road noise we found this gem of a hotel. The reception was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely quiet room whist still being central to all the city offered. Breakfast was nice too. Thank you for all your help.

Pontos positivos - Staff atencioso, simpático e prestável - Camas e almofadas confortáveis - No centro da cidade - Pequeno almoço repetitivo mas q.b. - Muitos canais de televisão Pontos negativos - Parque de estacionamento é privado mas super estreito, só lá estacionamos na primeira noite - Lençóis de cama manchados na primeira noite - Polivan super pequeno - Chão todo alcatifado e antigo - Mau isolamento sonoro - Muita luz durante a noite - Colocarem uma garrafa de água no quarto quando entramos pela primeira vez a 1.50€ quando temos um supermercado logo à saída do hotel - Relação qualidade/preço horrível, pagámos em Lisboa 85€ uma noite num hotel 5 estrelas

Hemos estado tres noche y las dos últimas hemos dejado el coche en la calle porque el parking es infame . Por lo demás , el hotel está bien situado y el personal es muy amable . Mejor pide una habitación interior porque se escucha bastante el ruido de la calle.
