The Reef Coco Beach Resort & Spa- Optional All Inclusive

Very nice place, the food, location and the view is absolutely amazing, I totally recommend this hotel for your holidays!!

The all inclusive service is very good, however the buffet doesn’t have many options to choose from and the poolside bar only serves cocktails with less than 1% of alcohol in them.

The hotel is an older hotel. The location is great for access to the beach and walk around 5th Ave. The bartenders and the travel shop/scuba shop were great the hotel maintenance and front desk staff were not the best. We did have issues with our rooms and they were fixed eventually except the king room that we booked was not available and we had to share a double bed. Iit’s an older hotel with musty smells and stuck drawers. The pool closed early on a Saturday night (8pm) but the mariachi/karaoke can play until 11pm and the noise will carry into the room. The kelp on the beach is filled with sand fleas and we came home with over 100 sand flea bites between the 5 of us. The buffet was ok but not worth $45 per day per person.

Had an amazing time in the sun. The entertainment team Kenia, boris and bere were absolutely brilliant even in the pouring down rain. They definitely know how to turn a bad day around. Our waiter edgar was absolutely spot on, any queries about the menu he would explain what the dish was and knew our drinks order before asking what drinks we wanted.

It was a great experience as they says there in the resort "excelente". I felt a bit lost and lonely on a beginning as most people "habla Espaniol", not myself. However l met very nice people. I met a girl from Mexico who shows me arround. I met nice and welcomin people in the restaurant like Javie, Neftali, Angel & Marco and Jorge, in the entertainment team like Boris and Keanya, in the Leading Vocation club Mario, Jesus, Victor, Leticia. Idid received welcome champagne, strawberies in chocolate and complimentary coffee machine. The food was perfect and fresh. Exalant drink variation.

All though the hotel in itself is beautiful and is an overall nice experience, too many impactful negatives cropped up over the course of the holiday overall. The most noticiable negative event being the pool bar falling on my fiancé's legs while ordering a drink. Aftermath picture attached. The hotel seems to only be patched and repaired (poorly) which you notice across the whole resort the longer you stay. Glamorous 3* hotel experience.

Buyer beware! This "resort" is just a time share scam. The staff demand that you wear a paper wristband and will constantly stop you if you take it off. Staff is rude and are reluctant to speak English. The bathroom floods with water ever time the shower is used. There a private beach but they told us it's members only. The best thing I can say about this place is the parking lot doesn't have many cars parked there and the parking staff is usually friendly. I suggest skipping this place and stay at a regular hotel who are not trying to sell you a membership.

Cannot fault the hotel! The staff are absolutely incredible, too many to mention them all but special shout outs to Alan & Pedro, wait staff who go above and beyond for everyone and to Boris, a fantastic member of the entertainment team ❤️ The location is absolutely perfect, beautiful beach, clean environment and just 10 mins walk from the hustle of 5th Avenue. Food options are great and I recommend them all, the speciality restaurants are great! I genuinely cannot give anything a negative!

Beautiful hotel, the grounds were kept immaculate, the cleanliness was superb and the actual decoration itself was stunning. What sets Coco Beach The Reef Hotel apart from other hotels is the staff. I was absolutely blown away with how attentive, polite, friendly, genuinely interested, speedy and amazing the staff were. They truly deserve a bonus or something because they made my whole family's experience incredible. A huge shout out to Alan, our server in the Mexican speciality restaurant on Sunday 25th approx 7pm. I have never received such fantastic service and it was a pleasure to meet such a kind human. Some more honorable mentions go to Boris, who worked tirelessly day and night to entertain all the guests and brought such a quality personality to the resort. Pablo who works in the buffet diner, he blew us away on the first night with how friendly and welcoming he was. There are honestly so many more I wish I could name but unfortunately I can't recall them all. Best service I have EVER received so thank you so much to all the team xxx
