We could not have been happier with this lovely bed and breakfast! The value was AMAZING!!! The made to order breakfast was AWESOME!!!! Yum!!! (6 entree options — pancakes , Belgium waffles, scrambled eggs or an omelet made to order, chilaquiles, 3 cheese molletes, or ham and cheese sandwich). The hosts were SPECTACULAR!!!!!! The beds were comfortable and the rooms and common areas were v clean!!! The hosts even provide two FREE rides a day! They brought us shopping and to restaurants!!! They accommodated every request - extra blanket , towel , etc. If you want to meet the kindest, sweetest young family and have a comfortable, quiet place to stay at an unbelievable value , look no more. This is your place!!! It’s very small but it certainly lives up to its name. It is a hidden gem!!! Just thinking of the hosts makes me smile. As an added bonus while you enjoy sunshine in the courtyard the tiniest , sweetest cat (Cherry) might let you pet her. Her purr melted my heart. I can’t imagine a better value exists in the area

My partner and I stayed for one week at Casa Gem and we couldn't have made a better choice. The room was very clean, the breakfast delicious (must try the chilaquiles!) and the hosts, Itzel and Serafin, always there to help. The place is a bit outside of the central area, but that was not a problem at all since we had a shuttle twice a day (to go and come back). Plus, the area is very quiet and we got to rest very well. If you want to explore the surroundings, renting a car is the best option, which is what we did and we could move around easily. Itzel and Serafin were always kind to help us with advice for what to see and where to eat, as well as accommodating us in general. If we ever return, we will definitely stay here again. We will recommend it to all our friends. :) Thanks again Itzel and Serafin for everything! We had a lovely lovely time there. Bianca and Luis

Fabulous home-cooked breakfasts during our 4 night stay! VERY friendly and attentive service. Oh, so quiet location - exactly what we were looking for, since I am a light sleeper, and after a busy day of exploring the area, a good night's sleep is imperative. And only a 5 minute ride to the ferry dock. Super value, and a very safe area, plus the entrance gate is always locked (just have to press the buzzer outside, and they will let you in). We are so lucky to have found Casa Gem, we would recommend it to anyone without hesitation, and if we are ever back in the area, it would be our first choice to stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights after spending 4 days across the street at one of the big AI's in Playacar. It was like staying with family and such a breath of fresh air in comparison to the impersonal big resort experience. Itzel, Serafim and their super cute cat Sherri were beyond welcoming and offered their time and services be it driving us around or making us delicious breakfasts. I had the best mid day nap in the comfortable beds! Our room was Onyx and it was perfect for us - loved the little patio, the kitchenette and the space. This was a great value and recommend it wholeheartedly!

Buen servicio y actitud de los anfitriones el lugar es limpio y seguro el desayuno siempre lo tienen listo a la hora que tú les indiques . El lugar es tranquilo ideal para descansar y pasar y momento de relajación . Las habitaciones están muy cómodas

SUPER, nuestra estancia fué súper cómoda, una estancia amplia con todo lo necesario, camas para descansar. Todo lo anterior dentro de una casa muy bien atendida y de atracciones de Playa del Carmen en una colonia tranquila y segura. Definitivamente recomendable

Las camas son muy cómodas y la habitación es muy amplia. Los anfitriones son locales y dan recomendaciones muy adok a lo que buscas porque conocen muy bien. Son atentos y en realidad es agradable que el hotel está en una zona tranquila donde se puede descansar perfectamente sin el ruido de la quinta.

Excelente, un hotel fabuloso y la atencion sencillamente espectacular, ojala pudiera dar 6 estrellas y porsupuesto lo recomiendo a todo turista que visite playa del carmen. Los anfitriones muy respetuosos y amables.

Itzel y Serafín estuvieron siempre al pendiente de lo que necesitáramos. Excelentes instalaciones y los desayunos diarios muy ricos. Hicieron la transportación muy fácil para nosotros. ¡Recomendados!
