Tigotan Lovers & Friends Playa de las Americas - Adults Only (+18)

Just back from the Tigotan , we have been there many times and I have to say this stay was probably the best we have had . The food was absolutely brilliant plenty of selection and presentation was first class,having said that we were there for Xmas 2024 and the food was not up to their usual standards as there was plenty of complaints however I believe they have turned it around as the food was superb. There is a lot of new staff who were absolutely lively and most helpful. Entertainment was very good and lot of effort has been put into getting good acts . All in all great hotel rooms very comfortable , modern . We went to the Santa Rosa has we had booked all inclusive the meal was excellent couldn’t fault it and the waitress was very nice. Booked again love this place.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. I couldn’t fault anything, everything was amazing. Staff were brilliant, breakfast was great, rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Entertainment was amazing, something on every couple of hours. No issue getting a sun bed any hour of the day, obviously need to be up early to get the better beds but I could always get one any time during the day. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, not one bad thing to say about it.

We stayed at Tigotan Hotel in Tenerife and, unfortunately, had one of the most unpleasant room experiences we’ve ever had, especially surprising for a 4-star hotel. On day 3, we discovered a cockroach in our room, which was located on the ground floor. We spoke to reception the following day, and while they did apologize, they explained that this was something that could easily happen when staying on that floor. Regardless, it was very unpleasant and uncomfortable. I would strongly recommend upgrading your room in advance, as the ground floor room was not a space where you could truly relax. The next day, after spending time at Siam Park, we returned to our room only to find it flooded. Luckily, we didn’t lose any of our belongings, as we had kept everything off the floor. We were then moved to a first-floor room, which was clearly much better in both quality and comfort. Just when we thought things had improved, we were lying in bed at night and saw a shadow moving from the bathroom area. It turned out to be another cockroach, running up and down the bathroom door. Absolutely disgusting and disturbing. I reported this to reception again. They apologized and assured us that this isn’t a normal occurrence, which I really hope is true. As compensation, we were told we wouldn’t need to pay for the safe or drinks in the minibar, which I felt was a fair gesture at first. However, that changed when I was asked to sign an NDA, saying I couldn’t speak publicly or post about the situation on social media. That was extremely disappointing. Transparency matters, and no one should be asked to stay silent about their personal experience, especially when it affects future guests. It’s unfortunate, because other parts of the stay were nice. The cleaning staff and kitchen team deserve a lot of praise, they clearly work hard and do a great job. We also heard that many other guests had changed rooms, which didn’t give us much confidence in the overall room quality. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying in the rooms at Tigotan. Despite the staff doing their best to apologize and assist, this was by far the worst room experience I’ve had. Next time we visit Tenerife, we will definitely be choosing Jardín Hotel in Adeje instead.

We had not been in Tenerife since 2005 and we were keen to see the change over the last 30 years. We booked via EasyJet holidays and we wanted to book an adults only hotel. The Tigotan came up first in the search and it looked really appetising so we watched a few YouTube vlogs and all reports seemed reasonable. We booked it but also upgraded to one of the romance rooms that meant you became half board exclusive and had access to an exclusive lounge during the day. On arrival to the hotel on a Sunday evening you have a separate check in for Exclusive guests. We were greeted with some Cava and duly checked in. Really friendly staff. We were also told we could go get some dinner which was really great as I was starving. We arrived into the Romance room that had a Jacuzzi bath, separate walk in shower, large 55 inch smart tv with all main uk channels. Large comfy bed with a pillow menu if you needed. There was two bathrobes, should have been slippers but they were missing. There was a shaving kit, two toothbrush sets, vanity kit, and there was shampoo and shower gel in the shower plus conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom. Hairdryer in main part of bathroom in front of a mirror. Decent hairdryer good speed, but is smaller one. All in all a good first impression of the room. The room was great but we did have a few small issues. Small leak from Air conditioning, sorted within 10 minutes by staff. Tv needed a software update as it kept restarting but that function was locked. Jacuzzi bath did not work fully but to be honest we didn’t really worry about that. Staff offered to look at it but we were not that bothered. But good balcony with a clothes airer with good space. The food was amazing. Dinner If any one complains about the food in here they must be quite fussy. Each night there was a fresh carvery meat available, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, pork one of which on offer each night. There was also a grill where each night there was a choice of four additional meats to be cooked fresh, usually two fish and two additional meat again, steak, chicken, chicken kebabs, pork loins and loads more on offer. There was fresh pizza being cooked (not to order) but three different types with also two to three Chinese options each night. Spring rolls were to die for. Also three other options such as curries etc. great selection of and chips and and veg on offer. A huge fresh salad bar each night on offer with various pasta salads. Then there was a whole station for desserts, cakes pastries and four different ice creams. The other highlight was drinks brought to your table and charged to your room so no messing about with mo ye and cards each night. 6 euro for wine and a Coke Zero also reasonable. Breakfast Again loads on offer, the bacon is not great but they do an English sausage that is great quality. Loads of options such as scrambled egg, poached egg, boiled egg, fresh to order fried eggs. There was freshly cooked pancakes and churros

We have just arrived back after a 7 night stay at the tigotan. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who gave us 2 glasses of champagne, which was a nice touch. We were then told all about the details of our booking etc and we headed to our room We went for the Romance suite, this room was unbelievable nicely spaced a double sink, rainfall shower and a massive jacuzzi bath, with stocked minibar tea and coffee making facilities along with a beautiful pool view from the 3rd floor. The rooms were kept spotless everyday with fresh towels provided for us to use. We had the half board exclusive option which entitled us to breakfast and evening meals, breakfast was great with various different choices including English sausages, crepes etc. evening meals were good I wouldn’t go as far as saying great because we did find it to be rather repetitive during the course of our stay. The pool areas were fantastic with a large swimming pool 2 jacuzzis our favourite had to be the heated jacuzzi up at the back! The pool areas were clean and the sun loungers rather comfy. The exclusive lounge was incredible with bottled spirits teas and coffees along with some snacks throughout the day. There were quite a few things we would change if we had the opportunity to:- 1. the exclusive lounge was in fact incredible however, we spent a lot of money to upgrade to this and it is disappointing that you are secluded to one area with no sun loungers etc, we spent a lot of time in here but we always felt we couldn’t enjoy sitting in here without our loungers and towels being confiscated - I would like to see the row of Bali beds been offered to exclusive guests first, as we were watching these being taken at 6am thus resulting in us having to sit further away from the exclusive lounge! 2. Signs on the sandwhiches etc in the lounge - the whole time we were there we didn’t in fact actually know what we were eating - you could tell by looking at it but for someone with allergies it would be helpful to know what was inside the food 3. More foam parties !! We LOVED the entertainment at the hotel however, the hotel could 110% benefit from having this more than once a week! The mood shifted when the foam party was on and EVERYONE was involved! We loved our stay at the tigotan, we have already recommended it to so many people and we only just returned home - special shout out to the gentlemen working in the exclusive lounge most days he’s a credit to the hardworking staff!
