Melia Trinidad Peninsula hotel has Amazing servers, you have to come and meet the locals, they make the trip! Delvis, Irian, Isienay, all the staff is amazing. You have to come and meet them all! The food, entertainment and rooms are amazing, please come and support the Cubans! You need to try Papayodka with Delvis at pool bar.

Amazing and very clean resort. The service is impeccable here. Everyone here is kind and courteous, especially from Irian and Abdel at the main pool bar. The resort is located just 20 minutes away from the historic city of Trinidad which is a must visit. We came for the relaxation and left with great memories with amazing people that we've met during our trip.

Everything is incredible. Staff is awesome. Rafael and Javier are the best bartenders I’ve ever had. Very friendly and welcoming. Hard working while also focusing on satisfying customers. Great job and thank you to Rafael and Javier for making an awesome experience. These two are super focused and hard working. Great teamwork Todo es increíble. El personal es increíble. Rafael y Javier son los mejores bartenders que he tenido. Muy amables y acogedores. Trabajan duro y al mismo tiempo se centran en satisfacer a los clientes. Very nice place, excellent service. Drinks are quite delicious too, especially Jose's frappuccinos ! 😋😋 Their pina coladas are also excellent. Both drinks were bought with, and without alcohol (teenagers in the group), everyone liked them lots ☺️

Melia Trinidad Peninsula is a great resort but I'm not sure I'd ever return to this resort and here is why. Remember, we stayed at MTP resort January 2024; things may have changed by now. Let's start with the positive: The resort is absolutely spotless, the rooms are modern and beautiful, and we had hot water in the shower anytime of the day. Clean towels at the beach/swimming pools daily. Food and drinks, more than you can ask for; we ate our breakfast, lunch and dinners at the buffet, we went twice to the a la carte restaurants and it was "meh". Now the negatives: (not very many) On the third day of our stay, my wife became violently ill with a stomach flu or food poisoning, the next day my friend's wife and I became violently ill as well, with similar symptoms as my wife. Our friend had to visit the medical centre at the resort and was prescribed some medication. Later we found out that the majority of the visitors are battling the same illness and some of them very seriously. We spoke to the hotel manager; he blamed the "Quebecers" for bringing this "virus" to his resort. Even if he was right, I think this was NOT polite, especially that he knew we're from Canada... This may have been an isolated incident and I think this should not sway you away from visiting this resort. Overall, the grounds are beautiful; the water is crystal clear, although you can't swim in it because it is full of rocks. I have attached some photos of the resort to highlight the beauty of the resort and its surrounding nature. Would I go back... no and that's because of the distance from the airport to the resort (over two hours), it didn't bother my wife and friends but it was very hard on me.
