We were picked up at the Placencia airport by a very helpful and kind gentleman from Alan's Paradise Resort. The alley leading to the resort seemed a bit sketchy but as we reached the resort, we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely building and amazing location on the beach! The owner's Alan and Delores, as well as their staff were very welcoming and assisted us many times with setting up excursions, making phone calls and preparing wonderful meals which we enjoyed in their beautiful on-site restaurant. The room was small but comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, as well as the neighborhood rooster alarm clock!

Alan's Paradise Hotel was perfect for me and my friends. It ia a laid back casual place offering great views and a large gathering area for food and drinks. It is only a short walk to the town right along the waterfront. Not fancy, it is a perfect place to rest and relax.
