The Flying Toucan

We stayed at The Flying Toucan for a month and it is the best place we have stayed so far in the village. It is right on the Placencia Village sidewalk. Within a five minute walk was our favorite place for breakfast, DeTatch, favorite pizza, Bohemian, and the Placencia Beach Club. As of this writing, guests staying at The Flying Toucan have access to the Placencia Beach Club in addition to the Ocean Breeze hotel pool (including Toucan Jacks beach bar) and beach facilities. We used both during our stay. The owner and staff for The Flying Toucan/Ocean Breeze are great and responsive. Everyone is super nice. Our unit at The Flying Toucan was comfortable. It has a new queen bed which was nice. The unit has a couch with chaise and Fire TV in the living area. The kitchen seemed to have the implements to cook, but I must confess, we did zero cooking during our stay. If you are smart about where you eat, you can eat for less than buying food and cooking it, especially for a couple. A super bonus is access to a washer and dryer at the property at no additional cost. If you are looking at places to stay keep this in mind. I would stay here again, no question.

Great location. Fully equipped and comfortable units with amazing hosts! Within walking distance to everything in the village. Steps to the beach and shared access to the Placencia Beach Club as well as Ocean Breeze amenities. Returning

I rented this room for my father when he came to visit me. The room had recently been updated. It looked great! Bright and clean with plenty of room. The location is fabulous! Walking distance to everything. They have on site parking which is hard to find here. The free passes to the beach club were a great perk. Craig and Risa took great care of my dad. Will definitely book this place again!

Spent about four nights here while visiting Placencia. Easy communication, booking and check in. The Flying Toucan cabanas are located near the beach but not necessarily on it. They are located near the boardwalk which leads to more busy area of Placencia with all restaurants, bars and beach club. The cabana has pretty much everything you need, living room with couch and tv, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. No working desk unfortunately so had to work from the couch. No chairs to comfortably sit on the deck, so we just used kitchen chairs. Our stay was nice and easy, although we did have issue with the stove not working for the first day and also the A/C was not on when we arrived from the airport. I would expect them running the A/C to cool off the apartment as it was very hot and stuffy. The AC is located in the bedrooms which makes for great sleep, but its hard to keep cool air in the living room, kitchen and bathroom. We finally were able to cool the apartment down on our third day, but upon returning from our all day Ranguana Caye trip, we found that the cleaning crew turned the AC significantly down and whole place was hot again. Not the best thing you want to experience when returning back from sunny and hot beach. Besides that, our stay was nice and fun, and luckily for us we continued our Placencia vacation at Turtle Inn, which is probably the best place to stay in the area :)

This is a perfect vacation rental! Plenty of room, with a beautiful full kitchen, lovely bathroom, cozy and comfortable bedroom and large living area. The balcony has two comfy rocking chairs with an awesome view of the ocean to make this place PERFECT. Located in a quiet neighborhood, but so close to all the fun!

Very comfortable home to stay in for our vacation.Loved the use of bikes,bbq,easy to access to beach and beach chairs.Extra goody was the passes for the Placencia Beach Club and use of a pool. Craig and Reisa were great hosts and made sure we had everything we required. Would definitely stay again!!!!!
