The Green Park Hotel

This hotel never fails to please - lovely ambience and family run. Quiet, clean and comfortably furnished, plenty of choice for breakfast and a good choice of food for dinner. (Well done the chef.) If you don't want to go out, sit in the lounge with coffee and cake (help yourself) looking at the sunshine, or rain, on Loch Faskally. No complaints at all but I would like to see the red squirrels back in the garden. Perhaps the squirrel feeder could be put back into use?

The Green Park never disappoints- superb service and hospitality at its best. This was our third 4 night stay for the WW2 history film break and we have booked again for next year (with a few days in the summer too). Most people you meet here are repeat visitors over many years and that, in itself, is a testament to the experience. It is not a 5 star, spa/gym all singing and dancing kind of place but if you want 5 star service and food (the breakfast beats most 5 star hotels for choice and quality) then this is the place . It has an understated elegance and gorgeous views but without a doubt the thing that sets this hotel apart is its attention fl detail and customer service. The post dinner shortbread is hard to beat too!

Our first visit. At check in we were given a warm welcome and a tour of the main hotel areas on the way to our room which overlooked Loch Faskally. Binoculars are supplied for you to enjoy the views and wildlife. The room was large with lots of drawer and hanging space. The bathroom had excellent toiletries and fluffy towels. The decor of the hotel befits its country house status. There are blazing fires, comfy seating, books to peruse, games for a rainy day and a jigsaw to help finish. There are lots of walking areas nearby and it is well served by rail and bus links. The service of the staff is first class and you get the feeling that the hotel as a whole is a very well run machine with an incredible eye for detail. The jewel in the crown of the establishment is the food. From breakfast to the all day tea/coffee buffet with sweet treats to the delicious four course dinner which begins with a glass of sherry and finishes with coffee and shortbread, all food is of the highest quality and the dinner menu changes daily. The clientele is older and mainly returning guests and there a number of activity holidays on offer for those who want to take part in anything from bridge to photography.

Hi Green Park, once again we have enjoyed our April stay for Marilyn’s birthday. Neither of us have been well lately and were looking forward to a relaxing break, we were not disappointed ! We were just in time to enjoy the lovely weather as well. We would love to know how you keep your staff so happy and smiling, the whole hotel gives off such a friendly ambiance, it’s like the troubles and tribulations of the outside world melt away as soon as you enter the doors. Can we both make a special mention to your kitchen team for the marvellous menu selections every day, it’s so lovely to try different options, you have a very talented chef. The best thing about this hotel is the staff and their high level of service. Faultless. Staying at this hotel is like having a giant hug from your Gran. Having said that, the standard of cooking is much better than my Grans! The food is excellent, great choice with table service throughout. Service in the dining rooms is also perfection. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The lounge areas are expansive with comfy chairs and beautiful views. I can't think of anything to criticise, I really can't. I'll be visiting again soon I think.

Yet another wonderful stay! I noticed before our most recent visit that the dinner menus had changed somewhat since our previous stay. On paper many of the dishes looked as if they had one ingredient too many but the reality was that everything we ate was supremely well-judged. The slightly lighter fare is to be welcomed: there's still no danger of anyone going to bed hungry and I think that the new menus showcase more effectively some serious talent in the kitchen.
