My husband and I went to Croatia for a music festival recently and the record label running the festival had contracted out this hotel for festival goers. I must admit I was a bit skeptical, as there were not a lot of very recent/positive reviews, however I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and may still be undergoing renovations, so I would say many of the "tired" photos accompanying reviews from earlier may no longer apply. The beach is pebbly (not something that us from Canada are usually used to, as we typically encounter sandy beaches, but not a strike against for sure, as the views were beautiful. One must remember this is a small, privately run hotel, not a member of some corporate conglomerate, so things are different. There is no weight/fitness room that I was aware of and food options are limited to a small breakfast buffet and a beach side restaurant/bar. This being said, the food, while not Michelin star, was absolutely delicious and we were happy to eat in both locations. We did also eat in Pirovac and we would recommend getting out to local restaurants as well. The bed was comfy, although heads up a double, is two twins pushed together... not the end of the world, as we did sleep well. A special mention to Olivia at the beach bar/restaurant. She greeted us on our first evening and we saw her on our last day. She always had a big smile and all of the waitresses worked very hard as some days were extremely busy. Would we stay here again? Possibly. We also like to do AirBnB and now that we've been, we might venture that route the next time. I'm not sure if the prices were inflated for the festival, because I did feel it was a bit on the pricey side, given what we paid for 5 days in hotel, we could get a 7-day trip from Canada to the Dominican Republic (flight, hotel, food/drinks). We are both glad for the stay however and I hope that my review gives a bit of a boost... :)
