Podere Spedalone

We had a super stay here. It’s rustic and isolated. We stayed only one night and enjoyed the dinner with other guests on a big long table which was fun. We chose the T bone steak for two and was pleased that it arrived on a sizzling platter so my daughter could have hers rare, mine could cook for a little longer. Our twin room was adequate and basic. The host could have been more cheerful but it didn’t spoil our stay, the other staff were lovely. Absolutely delicious breakfast.

We attended a cooking class at Podere Sepdolone last week. The experience was amazing. Roady was a chef/teacher who did an outstanding job teaching, explaining, and showing each of us. The group was small ( 6 people), making it so nice and intimate. After the class, we were there to eat what we had made. There was a little time between the cooking class and eating, allowing us to walk around and take the most beautiful pictures. The farm is so lovely and then we had lunch outside just looking over all the beauty. The owners were there greeting people and the staff were all so pleasant. I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone who is in the Tuscany area and wants an amazing experience. 10 of out 10 for our entire group!

The location is beautiful, with a charming Tuscan landscape, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. We had booked in advance a lunch for four people, which clearly included two Bistecca alla Fiorentina, as stated in the confirmation. However, we were served only one. When we questioned it, the person attending us insisted that it was just one and that “there was no difference.” Even after showing that we had paid for two steaks, we were met with disregard and blatant stalling. It’s unacceptable to pay for something and not receive it — especially when someone tries to convince you that you’re wrong, despite having everything documented. It felt like a clear attempt to deceive us. A real shame, because the place has great potential. But it lacked professionalism, honesty, and respect for the customer. I do not recommend.

Benvenuti 🤗 Super friendly staff at a most beautiful spot in Tuscany. Spacious rooms; clean and comfortable. Even laundry service is efficient. Breakfast was ten-star exceptional; the communal dinner an experience not to be missed. We were traveling as a three-generational family and everyone one of us is still raving about Podere Spedalone.

I cried when we had to leave. We stayed in the Stanza Azzurra Deluxe double room. It was so quaint and comfortable. We felt like were were all alone on the property. It is a separate building from the main house. The staff are wonderful and make you feel like you're part of a big family. AND THE FOOD!!!!! OMG, we all gather together outside and have drinks and appetizers while we watch the sun set. Then we all go into the restaurant and eat at large tables (too cold at the time to eat outside). Everything was homemade and delicious. The views are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. We rented a car from Florence and drove. It's about a 2 hour drive. Beautiful scenery along the way. We were able to visit all the small towns around the villa. It's truly a beautiful place to stay.

We had a sensational stay at Podere Spedalone. The place was amazing, the views great and the food sensational. The staff were very attentive. Location was convenient for southern Tuscany. Highly recommend both the dinner and the cooking class.
