Low Costa Mill

Really great half term stay at Low Costa Mill. The huge plus of the site however is the outside space which is really undersold on the pictures! I really struggled to find something in the local area with outside space for our active kids until I saw Low Costa Mill - the outside area is fantastic, even better than the pictures with lots of play equipment for all ages, and big field areas, riverside benches and walk, woodland walk, pond, animals and plenty of space to sit and enjoy the quiet! We stayed in Granary cottage which was simple and comfortable with had good sized living space and 3 bedrooms for 5 of us staying. Great to have the swimming pool onsite (good size too) and the booking system to reserve for just your family was appreciated. Owners were friendly and helpful throughout the stay - will return! Really good location too - around 5 min drive to small town of Pickering with all shops you need plus some nice pubs also, not far from Malton (Yorkshire’s food capital! We visited the food festival which was great) and the site is in between York and Scarborough with loads of stuff to do around.

I was a little apprehensive with all the excellent reviews, thinking it sounds too good to be true and it won't be like that. My wife booked it and found the reviews were spot on. It's such a beautiful place with plenty of things around the area for kids to do, but equally perfect for couples. The place itself was clean, and I can tell it's really looked after, and plenty of love is put into the place. The place is outstanding, but what makes it perfect are the owners who are really friendly and feel like you've known them for years. This was our first time there and definitely won't be out last. We're already looking at dates off work to book again next year. 100% recommend this place.
