The room was clean and huge. Comfy bed. Service was excellent. My kids loved the in room pool as well as the main pool. Kid friendly and my husband and I loved happy hour! 3 min walk to the beach too!! 100% recommend

It’s been quite a few years since I last stayed in Movenpick Bangtao, and this is my third time returning. I choose this hotel because the rooms are spacious and clean, and also it is nicely situated beside a quiet private beach but yet 5 minutes ride away from a western shopping area where you can shop and dine. I stayed in a seaview pool residence this time. Our private pool was great and the seaview was amazing. The kitchen inside the residence had all the tools needed to stir up a meal - you can do your groceries at the supermarket nearby. The staffs are very helpful, kind and detail minded. It was my wife’s birthday during our stay, but I didn’t mentioned to the staffs but they noted when taking note of our passports, and on her birthday they gave us a birthday, which was very sweet. The checkin was efficient and easy. We were nicely taken care of during our stay. Other than our private pool, the public pool is big and nice as well. You can also use the private beach area which is a few steps away. One thing that can be improved is that the interior is a little dated and can use a renovation. The exterior is still very stylish. I’m very happy during my stay as a returning customer, and will definitely return again when I visit Phuket. Highly recommended.

Located in the upscale Laguna area. Walked out to beach and beach bar. But location is far away from any nearby amenities, food options and not even convenience stall. Need to take a car 10mins out. Room is clean and well stocked. But the wow factor quickly died. In our 2 nights stay, there were 3 black out and 2 times water cut. When water comes back on, it was brown water. Horrid. Airon keeps going on and off. No apologies no making up for the horrible experience. Don't even allow 1h of later check out. Totally will not recommend this resort!

A lovely stay at this resort. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room we booked was just what we were after. The food at the restaurant was well presented and extremely enjoyable.

Away from crowds & noise. A good place to relax. Just that there isn't any walking distance convenient shops nearby.

Everything seems not upkeep at all. The water from the bath tub came out black, the electricity went off twice and food options were limited. Only 1 or 2 dishes were changed during our 2 nites stay during breakfast. There was a Chocolate hour from 3 to 4pm. We waited till 3.30pm and the Chocolate was not served. When to check with the staff and was rudly told off to "wait, wait". We paid premium for the 3 bedroom but the service and hotel is a disappointment.

Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, great location on with direct access to the beach. Will definitely return!

Great location for the EDC event, very professional staffs, well-maintained.

The air con was down during the night. Call the reception and the technician came within 10 min and the problems were solved within 30min. Excellent job.

Nice hotel. Bad location. Check-in time was long. I arrived at 2:30 pm. Check-in time is officially at 3 pm. I received the rooms at 3:35 pm. I complained but nobody cared about that. Place for Breakfast buffet is small. They let you sit in the outdoor with no ac in the middle of July. One big swimming pool.

I recently had a stay for 4 days and 3 nights in the resort, and from the moment I arrived, the environment, view and level of service was truly extraordinary. The staffs greeted us with a flower bracelet and a welcoming drink while we are checking in the room. The resort is situated right in between the famous lagoon and Bangtao Beach, so the view that the hotel offers is definitely stunning from any sides. They also have an alley to connect the hotel to the beach. The room was enormous, with a king-sized bed, a separate living room (with extra bed here if the stay is for 3 people), and a huge private balcony overlooking the beach. What really made my stay exceptional, though, was the service. There was a flood on my second day staying in the resort and the access to Phuket Town was blocked from Bangtao area, we did not know this news and the staff helped to keep us updated and recommend us spots nearby to go instead. Overall, for the value, Movenpick Bangtao truly stands out and worth to stay.

We stayed for 2 nights at Movenpick resort Bangtao beach. A family of 5 adults, 4 children and 1 infant. Their 3 bedroom apartment has a big living space for our children to play around and for the adults to have meals. Overlooking the pool and it was a short walk to the pool, lobby and towards the entrance to the beach. Room is comfortable and service is excellent. Very kid friendly but kids club is a little dark. The murals on the walls were hand painted so it was a beautiful kids room. but the television was not working so at times when the kids are tired from playing with the toys, they were easily bored. There wasn't much interactive activities available in there also. There was horse riding right infront of the hotel so it was convenient too. Halal food was abit hard to find. The beach restaurant in front has nice food but we had to fight off many flies the moment the food came and it made our experience a little less pleasant especially with young kids and infant around. The next time we ordered food, we packed it to have in the room to enjoy instead. There wasn't many shops around and we had rented a bike to head to the shopping mall instead. Would have been nice if the hotel provided shuttle service to the shopping mall. Overall, nice hotel but I may not be staying there again next time. Will explore other options.
