We had a wonderful stay at Citygate! The hotel is amazingly priced for what you get, the hotel is lovely and they food on site is great. You can order straight by the pool with a drink or to your room with no issue. They let us check out an hour late as we went to the local elephant sanctuary and needed to pack before we left which was great. They also have someone there to help you book any excursions you may want to do. Don’t forget to haggle the price though! They have a shuttle to the beach as well! Oh also while I was there I saved a little bird from drowning in the pool.

The stay was excellent. The hotel have really good looks, great conditions. Breakfast was very prompt, the service of the shuttle bus to the beach was excellent, the reception was great and helpful.
The only thing I would point out is the request on arrival for 1000 Baht as deposit. There was no previous information beforehand about this detail. Since I was unaware, they requested one of our passports as deposit.
I never heard of a hotel requesting deposits. Highly inelegant on the hotel part.

Room was dirty, especially in cabinets and windows
Holes in windows because rain was coming inside
Bugs, mosquitoes and cockroaches in the room
Dirty bedsheets/pillows
Asked for another room multiple times but there was none they said
Breakfast not many choices
Would not recommend
Shuttle bus to beach was great, because there is not much to do near hotel

The location of the hotel was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn't loud or anything like that.
Sadly, i always found that the daily cleaning was done very quickly and bot thorough. The toilet and bathroom sink was cleaned vut the shower, the bathroom floor and the shelf between sink and sink stayed always dirty.

The atmosphere was very nice, and super clean. However during my vacation there are accident that the elevator was broken, I and my GF include other guests 7 persons stuck in almost 40 minutes. The staffs have bad cooperation for solving problem. I and my GF have to cooperate ourselves via calling each department. My mistake would be I cannot remember the building name
but, in side the elevator has CCTV they could find us easily but they don’t, I told them wrong building then they stop finding us. Thing get worse after we’re free from the elevator there are no apologizing or any word come from them. I got angry due to many call to reception but no one pick up. Because they are not there that unacceptable situation not ready to work on there duty. The best thing was facility and atmosphere. Location is moderate quite hard to go in and out. Lastly I love Phuket but next time this hotel wouldn’t be my first choice.

There is a beach buggy which operates every 2 hours. Staff and really friendly and there is a restaurant onside. Multiple swimming pools for you to choose from. Getting there takes some effort though. Room is nice and has a microwave.
