Excellent location right in the heart of where you want to be and walking distance to where you want to go. An hour by taxi from the airport. Very small hotel, beautifully and tastefully restored, with probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Make sure you allow plenty of time during your stay to explore all the rooms and see all the amazing artefacts and historical items. You pre-order the cooked element of your breakfast the evening before so it can be cooked freshly for you and enjoyed in the beautiful dining area. Some mornings, we were the only guests at breakfast so had the place to ourselves. The street right outside the front door closes on Sunday afternoon/ evening and is part of the Chartered Walking Street market with stall after stall of amazing freshly cooked foods and local delicacies. There is a lift which is very small but that probably goes with this being such an old and historic building. Would I stay here again? Yes, definitely.
