Horizon View Beach Hotel

Above everything else, the staff made this stay something I will talk about for the rest of my life. While the hotel is dated, it is VERY clean. We came to St. Marteen to spread my late husband's ashes. The beginning of our trip started off as a living nightmare. My friend and I didn't initially plan on staying here, but due to a very rude AirBNB host, we luckily came upon the Horizon View. After explaining our situation to a very understanding night clerk, Alfred, he immediately took us under his wing, found us a room with a good breeze, (my friend has COPD) and helped us get a taxi driver to get our luggage from the previous hellhole. As if that wasn't enough, he called and checked to make sure we made it in each night (two ladies that are "dated" as well), he made sure we got our pizza order when we called out, and just all and all, made us feel valued and cared for. Not to outdo the other people at the hotel- everyone from the manager, the day clerk, room service, cleaning crew and maintenance all took time to say hello or good morning each day.

We loved our stay at Horizon View! We had 8 travelers in our group and the hotel accommodated our needs. The location is great for dining in the area and ocean views. Our rooms were clean and as expected for the islands. Everyone in our group were very comfortable with the beds in their rooms. All interactions with the desk and staff were courteous and very easy. We will stay at Horizon View any time on St. Maarten in the future.

Extraordinary hotel and experience for the money, and Ramesh went above and beyond to assist us with all of our needs, including when I left my property behind in the room! He had it shipped to us by boat the very same day. Well done, team!

We stayed here at the end of august for several nights (5 people) and everything was there what we needed, spacious, with a great view. The staff would do their utmost for the guests. The price is excellent, we recommend the penthouse. All kinds of stores, beauty shops in Frontstreet, local food and little supermarkets around the Frontstreet. Great bay beach at the hotel with the nice boardwalk with lots of bars and restaurants (no noise). Marina for trips at walking distance. As a Backstreet girl in heart its a great location. We initially booked for one night prior to joining a cruise out of Philipsburg but enjoyed it so much that we booked in again for the two additional nights on the island post the cruise. The location couldn't be better for enjoying the lovely beach or for exploring Philipsburg. The rooms that we had (we were travelling as two couples) were perfect for what we required and were priced accordingly. The team on the front desk were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. When trying to find the best way to get our Covid tests on a Sunday (all closed until Monday), prior to flying via Miami to the UK, they contacted a local clinic who came into the hotel to undertake the testing. That's what I call service. An unexpected surprise that made the extra days in St Maarten, a holiday in their own right.

Karishma, the Front Desk Clerk, started my stay off with a warm smile and helped me with everything. I was travelling alone and she made check in and check out very easy. The Hotel itself in amazingly located right on the beach. I loved having my morning coffee watching the ocean, the cruise ships, and the people on the boardwalk and beach. Just all in all a great experience.

Das Hotel hat eigentlich nur Zimmer, sonst gibt es nichts. Die Lage direkt am Strand bzw. mitten im Ort ist allerdings super. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet. Service an der Rezeption gelegentlich unfreundlich.
