Phi Phi Banyan Villa

The Phi Phi Banyan Villa Hotel is in a great location. It’s right next to the beach, and you can easily get to shops and restaurants. The room we stayed in was comfortable and looked out onto a well-kept garden. The staff working at the front desk were really nice and welcoming. The swimming pool isn’t big, but it’s clean. The breakfast was just okay and could have had more variety. They didn’t have a coffee machine. Overall, we had a nice time at the hotel. It’s a good place to relax and enjoy your holiday

Supposedly had a booking but they told me I didn’t and then still charged me! I booked a last minute room and didn’t get a confirmation The receptionist at the hotel I was at called and Banyan Phi Phi said I had no booking. I also went into the hotel and they said there was no booking and hotel was full. I spoke to my credit card company and they reversed the charge - I’ve now been recharged 3 months later. No one is answering my emails at the hotel to discuss this!

Rooms are tired but fit for purpose. The mattress may be a little hard but can be typical for Asia. AC is not that effective but does the job. It’s a great location and is fine for a few days with some beautifully crafted gardens. The gym has no AC but is very large and well equipped.

Having read the reviews we had very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s old, yes there’s noise, yes it’s a little rough round the edges, but it’s on level with what I’d expect for the price in Thailand. Pos - Air con was cold and so was the fridge so big bonus. Good location, kettle in room, beach towels, Neg- Rock solid bed, shower drain not so good, noise from kitchen from another building, breakfast JUST about ok, No problems with staff at all

This was probably the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. There is one positive-It is in a good location. The rest Is a nightmare and we only stayed one night … losing money for a pre paid room, but at least salvaging our holiday. The room was filthy ! The mattress cover had a dried blood stain. The filthy shower did not drain, the toilet leaked and smells and the rest of the room was dated. Photos are pretty deceiving too! We expected a decent pool area… there are only 7 sun loungers!!! When I explained why I was checking out early the staff said that Housekeeping checks the room so bedding couldn’t be stained. So basically called me a liar! Head housekeeper accompanied me to the room so I could ‘prove’ my point. She shrugged her shoulders and said ‘well I missed that’ still no apology! I asked to speak with the manager but told she was in Bkk. I asked to speak with a supervisor but told there isn’t one. An apology would have helped but that certainly wasn’t offered. Disgusting room and service!

This hotel is very close and convenient to where the ferry arrives. The room was very clean with a balcony, mini fridge, safe,. I liked the room because it had a Thai feel about it in the way it had been decorated. We had breakfast at this hotel and it had a huge selection which was very good. The pool was very nice for cooling off in. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Great hotel - good value for money when booking in advance, nice room and loved the pool and location to everything - breakfast was included and had good options I would recommend and stay again - it also had a gym and nice small garden to walk around!

Loved it here. The hotel rooms are a little outdated but I like that authentic look & feel. The rooms was spotless and the bed sheets immaculate. The setting is gorgeous and the beach restaurant is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it. It has the authentic Thai feel. The breakfast staff was really polite and the girl making omelettes was fantastic. I couldn't complain about the place.

The resort is extremely pretty and situated on the less busy side of Phi Phi away from the noisy beach but still only a 5 minute walk if you want to go party. Everything is within a 5 minute walk. The rooms were clean and restocked with water and coffee daily. Breakfast is awesome and located right on the beach. Access to the gym is awesome for a morning workout although there’s no AC so bring some extra water as it does get hot up there. My only complain is that the beds and pillows are quite hard and uncomfortable Overall I would recommend this hotel!
