Petra Plaza Hotel

Beautifully decorated clean hotel. I only walked to the entrance & back. It was too hilly for me to walk anywhere else. I was fortunate that our group leader was able to arrange dinner at a private home. My room was well appointed. Clean sheets & the bed afforded me a comfortable sleep. The bathroom was small but adequate. The shower had good hot water & pressure. B'fast was a buffet with mainly Jordanian foods but it was ok for me. The staff are always available & waiting to assist you. Overall, I had a very comfortable & enjoyable experience staying here. had good heating (winter time).

This hotel was very nice. They have parking, beautiful decoration, is very clean and Samih is very kind. It is also located in the heart of Petra so it's easy to walk to the main sites or the best restaurants in town. The breakfast was also good and the bed was very comfy.

I'm glad I listened to the reviews and adding one more just in case you're still wondering where to stay. Location: It is a climb up a hill, 5 minutes away from Petra's entrance center, by car. Not recommended if you're walking back up, it will be exhausting (not sure if hotel arranges transportation). There's enough parking space in front of the hotel. Staff: Friendly and accommodating, I had booked for 4 but showed up as 5 due to last minute changes, they changed our room for a charge without a hassle. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Hotel: They've got the most interesting furniture in the reception area, beautiful pieces. Breakfast: It was good, basic but fulfilling (eggs, jams, hummus, labneh and the likes) They have a small seating area outside, overlooking downhill that's nice to use, if the weather allows. After a long day in Petra, we were too exhausted to leave the hotel for dinner, they were kind enough to help by recommending a place, and with the order and arranged delivery for us. (The restaurant is not recommended though, that's another review) Rooms: Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, there were complimentary snacks, water and soft drinks, rooms had a kettle, coffee and tea. Our toilets didn't have bathtubs incase you were hoping to dip into a hot one after hiking but showers are good with hot water.

This is an exquisitely clean and very beautiful little hotel with spectacular views of the mountains and sunset, wonderful comfortable bed, loads of fluffy pillows, free water and snacks, lovely bathroom, v close to the visitor centre. And a great Jordanian breakfast buffet, which you can have looking out over the view. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful, and made a very useful itinerary for me for visiting Petra, also recommending restaurants. I will definitely stay here the next time I’m in Petra.

Funnily, when I pulled into the parking lot and saw the building, I began to prepare for disappointment. Luckily, I was looking at the wrong building. As it turns out, the hotel was even better than I expected. Very elegant lobby and spacious, modern rooms with amenities like free snacks, a fridge, safe, etc. The man who was in the lobby when I checked in and checked out (the owner?) was extremely friendly and helped me with my luggage, offered me suggestions for Petra, and even gave me a small gift when I left. The location is quite good and, while you'll presumably have a car, you could walk to restaurants and to Petra (~15 minutes) if you really wanted to. My only gripe was that the bathroom floor seemed to be dirty. It looked like some dust from Petra that wasn't fully mopped up.
