Anastasia Waterpark Beach Resort

Place was pure filth. Staff could not be bothered to be there more interested in their phone than their jobs. Watch your children like hawks in the pool they will only come over after incidents. Like 18 month old falling in pool. Also don't use the pool the hour of rain we had backed the drains up where did the water go right into the pool. What did they use to clean off the rain, yup the dirty sewer pool. Some how they messed up the food how can it be wet,cold,soggy and dry when it's supposed to be dry foods. Oh and just the hint of snot from the chef blowing his nose into his bare hands!! They at least swept the rooms. Didn't leave enough towels for two people and made the bed with the same bedding for the duration the "ink" stains didn't move once. Don't waste your money unless you want to feature it on worlds worst hotels. I could go on but just skimming over shows how bad it is.

Horrible! The dirtiest hotel I have ever been to! It is not 4 star. 2 at a push. The carpets are filthy! The rooms are not cleaned! Food is horrible. Avoid at all costs! Lifeguards sitting looking at their phone while smoking at the side of the pool in the water park. The pool tiles are falling off and lots missing. Never seen the pool area cleaned at all. Rubbish still sitting the next morning from the day before.

Bad management bad value for money.management bad to staff and staff unmotivated..Clean but food really cheap and of really bad quality not as advertised.breakfast ends at 10 we went 9 45 and most was ready removed.Air condition was not working well and was fixed after two days!!!

Just to clarify, we would of given this a 3 star rating if it wasn’t for Thomas cook over promising and under delivering. We feel totally let down by TC. (Thomas Cook) After being told about the Anastasia “Beach” hotel, we couldn’t wait to book, sold as a beach hotel 4 star, all inclusive with their own water park, we went for it straight away, it’s what we asked for as a family. Because there were six of us we had to be split up and my son and his girlfriend would be put in an apartment, that was fine, what they didn’t tell us was, “we” were also going to be put in an apartment. (Something that was not properly explained to us when booking) So we were not in the hotel at all even though we were sold the holiday as the Anastasia beach hotel. It was written on our booking slip but no mention of this when we were in the travel agents, when you get the gist you are in the hotel you don’t really think about checking all the details on your booking form. What a shock we got when the bus driver said “no, you are all in the apartments” and when we complained to Sophie the rep, she just said, “does it say apartments on your slip?” answer is yes Sophie “well then you’re in the apartments” she replied, I think we went off Sophie after that. Anyway, A nice little 4 minute walk from our apartment to the hotel restaurant (part of which was a road with no path and a nice big smelly noisy skip, lovely) for all meals and drinks awaited us, we are not even 100% sure we were actually in the Anastasia apartments, I think we were put in the other apartments next door which may be called the Ausonia apartments or something like that. Either way it was a long trek. First night there when arriving we heard a drunk couple arguing in the corridors, swearing there heads off, not a nice start with a very tired 9 and a 6 year old. We were sold the all inclusive wate rpark feature, great if it was all inclusive, unfortunately, it was free to get in but you had to purchase your drinks and food. You weren’t even allowed to go and get your all inclusive drinks and snacks and bring them in. Not really all inclusive. We also booked this holiday off TC because of the water park, our little girl had been furiously learning how to swim all summer ready for this holiday which was sold to us on recommendation by TC. We then noticed some reviews (before our holiday start) where they were saying it had a height restriction, panicking, we went into TC travel agent to get this clarified to which they said “it says nothing about height restrictions in the book and we wouldn’t sell a water park holiday to a family if it had a height restriction” so we said we need full clarification so they rang the hotel there and then. The hotel said there is only one slide that has the 1 m 20 cm height restriction. “okay we said, we can live with that” we got there and guess what, all the main slides have the 1m 20cm height restriction, we questioned the manager of the park who then said we could sign a

I booked into Anastasia Beach Hotel in Cyprus around June 2017. When I arrived I was told I was not staying in the hotel but in apartments which were around 100m away. I checked the description of the hotel online which had changed since time of booking. It now stated that apartments were away from hotel and also stated that the apartments have a lot of noise from nearby bars - I was not made aware of the change to description and had this been on the original description I would not have booked. The noise was from a karaoke bar across the road from apartments. The music was incredibly loud and always drunken people singing badly. The bar did not close until 2am and I was unable to sleep until 3am every day. There was no direct route from apartments to dining area and I needed to walk around the outside of the hotel at every meal. There was no access to drinks or food in the apartments meaning if I was thirsty at night I had to get dressed and walk around to the hotel to get a drink. The apartments were definitely not up to the 4 Star standard I had booked. Very basic with a broken camp bed.

Recently visited the hotel with my two boys as half board. Both were disappointed to see that WiFi was an additional cost. Rooms were poor. Flush on the toilet didn’t work properly, hairdryer on wall broken and the fridge in the room leaked. The pool was over crowded but fortunately we could use the hotel next door., which appeared to be more 4 star than than ours. The buffet breakfast had a good range but mostly luke warm and sadly we were up too early to get the fresh eggs made which again was disappointing! Lunch was a pleasant surprise and worth going to. The boys loved the Water Park which is next door, however, because we were not all inclusive we had to pay an additional cost. Most staff were friendly but never an apology. Waited to be given towels one evening and they didn’t arrive so the three of us had to use the hand towels to get showered. To be honest this summed up the place. On a positive they gave me a bottle of wine and fruit for my birthday which was a lovely gesture. Also a big warning for families, there is an exclusive nightclub/bar across the road that has live music to around 3.00 am at the weekends which didn’t disturb us , but if you were staying at the front of the hotel it was probably extremely loud with lasers lights beaming across your room. The location is perfect , with some lovely taverns with excellent food and the choice of beaches that are walkable are idealic. Would definitely go back to this part of Cyprus but sadly not this hotel.
