Valentin Grand Park Suite Hotel

Nice Aparthotel complex. Good pool and situated in nice park land. Food tasty and varied. Slight 500 metres uphill walk from beach. Entertainment provided to suit all tastes. Visited hotel in October when there was too many children in complex.

We stayed at this resort for a week in late August. While there are some areas for improvement, the resort has several positive aspects that could make it a better destination with a few adjustments. The Good: 1. The majority of the staff are exceptionally friendly. 2. The pools are excellent, particularly for children. 3. The buffet is better than those at similar resorts. 4. The cleaning staff do an outstanding job. The Bad: 1. There is a noticeable two-tier system for guests. We chose the half-board option to explore local cuisine but found that all-inclusive guests receive markedly different treatment at breakfast and dinner. 2. The drinks machines in the restaurants have specific usage rules, which are strictly enforced by the staff. For instance, I mistakenly used a machine to get a Coke and was reprimanded by a waitress. Consequently, we were not offered drinks during dinner for the rest of our stay, even those we were willing to pay for (and had previously paid for). Read up on the drinks policy before you go or you will be chastised by a member of staff. 3. A small number of staff members were quite rude, both to guests and their colleagues. This was particularly noticeable given the overall friendliness of the majority of the staff. 4. Rooms are dated (but clean). 5. The poolside deck chairs were mostly damaged, broken and/or dirty. Conclusion: Despite some positive aspects, the issues we encountered would prevent us from returning to this resort.

We recently returned from a week at the Valentin Park Club and overall had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and well-equipped with air conditioning, which was fantastic given the hot weather. The resort features various pools with ample sun loungers and conveniently located bars for ordering drinks. The kids' club was outstanding, well-organized, and the kids' entertainment was top-notch. Food at the resort was good, with a different themed buffet each night. Breakfasts were excellent, offering plenty of choices. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel, with many great shops along the way. We opted for half board, allowing us to explore different restaurants in the area. The only downside to our holiday was the staff's treatment of guests based on nationality. When they realized we were British, we often felt ignored, while German guests were served quickly and attentively. Our children, along with some French and Spanish children, received less attention compared to the German children, which was quite disappointing. Aside from this issue, the rest of the trip was fantastic. The airport transfers were smooth and hassle-free. Despite the one negative aspect, it was a great experience overall.
