Margina Residence Hotel

We stayed in this beautifully positioned hotel for 4 nights recently. The rooms are lovely, well appointed with a mini bar and kettle and cups. The view is just beautiful. The staff were lovely, although we needed them for very little during our stay. The harbour is an easy 5 minutes stroll and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Thalassa, Blue Grotto Greorge's corner and Alex's bar for a start. The only disappointment was the lack of a hotel bar or breakfast being served. Maybe we caught the hotel before it had opened properly as we were told we could pay for breakfast on a daily basis when we booked. Ws did however make use of the beautiful terrace by taking our own wine down!!

This was the best surprise we could hope for. I booked the Margina Residence for our 3 days in Paxos and I have to say it far exceeded expectations. So much so that I’m writing this whilst still here. The views are to die for - get up early for the sunrise and you won’t regret it! But more importantly the rooms are comfortable, clean and a good size. There’s a mini fridge and a kettle (but you’ll have to provide your own tea and coffee unless you’re willing to wait for breakfast, which is fine) The beds are a good size and very comfortable and the sheets are clean and smell lovely. Strange the shower was handheld which is tricky when you want to wash your hair, but adds to the charm. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make you feel at home straight away - we were greeted with lemonade which was perfect after a walk from the harbour. The breakfast was delicious - homemade pies every morning and the care taken to not make noise when laying the tables at 7am was so appreciated! Location wise it’s great - loads of tavernas nearby and a supermarket. But because you’re a little bit further along it’s so incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The only down side is that there’s no pool, and the beach over the road is incredibly rocky but we knew that in advance and it didn’t make a difference to how much we enjoyed it. We were a family of 7 adults celebrating two 40th birthdays and it was the perfect start. Long story short, do not hesitate to come and stay whilst in Paxos. You won’t regret it. I can’t wait to come again.

Stayed here one night in April. We were the only people there but the owners were friendly. The room was very nice and clean. Plenty of space as well. Special mention to the mini bar that had separate space for wine bottles!! Mini bar prices were reasonable. Excellent views of the sea. Also locates on the left side of Gaios which should be much quieter in the summer. Totally recommended it.

Great location, spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff although expensive we can highly recommend the boat trip around the island with George stunning scenery, Just be aware if you book in low season breakfast is not included although their web site states it is and they have promised to rectify this, However this did not detract from a great stay and we would go again

Two weeks stay in our favourite Greek Island and for the first time at Margina Residence. This is ideally placed for the main town of Gaios and the sea is only a couple of metres from the lovely terrace. The view is outstanding. This is a family run business who live on the premises and they are the loveliest and friendliest people you could wish for. Always available for help and advice. We had a glorious time and will definitely be back to visit our new wonderful friends. Thank you Jerry, Anna, George and Margina. Love you all xx

Great place to visit. Fantastic location close enough but not too close, to the township. Swimming literally across the road. Beautiful and interesting views from every room. The family that run the place just can’t do more for you, they were very helpful. Very clean.
