The staff at the hotel are lovely except for the manager. We booked to stay at this hotel for 7 nights but unfortunately only stayed 4. We woken up at 3am a man in our room who had gotten in by climbing up into the balcony and then opening the balcony door as the lock is so poor. We went downstairs and alerted the girl at reception(who is left here by herself at night) it took around 2 hours for the manager to arrive when he did he simply looked in the room and then left the hotel again saying we must’ve left the door open or that we made it up (neither of these are true). There was dirty footprints all over the room which were quite obviously not from me or my partner. Luckily we had nothing stolen but we found out this has happened a few times over the past couple months with the most recent happening to another guest the night before and they lost everything - phone, money etc and again the manager was not interested. I fully understand these things can happen but to not even offer to call the police is appalling. We were staying on first floor the safe in the room didn’t even work. There was also blood stained pillow left out in the hall way for days. The hotel is cheap and I guess you get what you pay for but please be aware if you are going to stay here. I arrived at this Hotel , There was a slight Problem , However it was sorted By the Manager and Reception staff. My room was Changed ,linen fully cleaned , water coffee etc towels, changed everyday . The staff are Truly Excellent Polite ,Helpful. I have stayed in 100s of Hotels, as I am A travel Writer .I often stay in 4 Star Plus Hotels However for the Price, This Hotel is Up there , Its No Hilton ,However it certainly Punches above its weight. ( For the Price you cant Complain ) I was so Impressed I have rebooked again for 2026, Remember the price is low, it has no pool or lift But the staff Make up for any issues you may have, Its in a out of the way soi (Street) SOI 19. a great a laundry opposite , little Thai restaurants in the street I hope you Enjoy your stay as much as I Did . Thank You Ivory Palace Pattaya
