If you want to feel special and pampered this is the place to come. The family owners made us feel very welcome and continued to make us feel special throughout our stay. Each morning we experienced an amazing array of home cooked Greek specialties for breakfast. This set us up for the day to enjoy the peace of the hotel surroundings. The beaches within walking distance are beautiful and without crowds. We loved the dinner menu while sitting on the deck enjoying the view. This was hospitality at its best. Thank you.

Have been coming to the Petra since 2007. Sometimes twice a year, either with family or as a couple. It never fails to disappoint. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. They are cleaned twice a day. Always clean towels and sheets, either daily or every other day, depending on choice. The breakfast is amazing. A club sandwich by the pool is always a highlight! I love it so much here, it always feels like a second home. The owners are attentive, but not obtrusive. I hope to be returning for many years. Highly recommend a stay here.

Another great holiday at the Petra in our usual suite! Attention to detail is key to this small luxury hotel member. Perfect hosts Petrula and Costas of course oversee every aspect here be it the perfect breakfast or the immaculate clean rooms. 11 nights flew by and looking forward to our next trip in September to spend more time with our Greek family

Our experience at the Petra was absolutely amazing! This is a truly lovely boutique hotel that caters to your every need. The owners, Petra and Kostas Stergiou, greeted us when we arrived. They are such a sweet and lovely couple. We had breathtaking views from our balcony. Each villa is absolutely stunning inside. We had such an amazing time on our trip, and we just can't speak highly enough about it! I would absolutely love to go back to the Petra, as it was just the most romantic, perfect getaway!

Lovely family run boutique hotel with great attention to detail. Delicious breakfast, immaculately clean and great service. Great location and views. Quiet and peaceful. They efficiently organise beach activities. Best place in Patmos from all accounts.

The Petra is the perfect destination hotel on Patmos; an island both desolate and beautiful. The small boutique hotel is a family run business; Lovely hospitable people. The food is delicious, and all homemade. I had dinner there my first night. I started out with the entire breakfast service the next day which is included. They were kind and let me take with me that which I could not eat. One cannot drink the water, but they make bottled water readily accessible at no cost. It has a very nice deck and pool area which overlooks Petra Bay. They serve drinks on the deck from the bar downstairs. A small beach is just down the street and there is a little outdoor bar and dining there as well. The rooms have their own outdoor seating area and are spacious and attractive. All the art is by a local artist by the name of Rocco. The rooms have a coffee machine, kettle, and refrigerator as well as robes. I did not partake but spa treatments are available on site. Albeit a long walk uphill the Monastery is in walking distance and from there one can walk to St. John's Cave. The walking gave me much more of the feeling for the place. The fees for the Taxis vary with the driver. It's as little as $5 from the ferry harbor, and as much as $10 to or from the hotel. I stayed three nights arriving around 2pm from Kos by ferry and leaving from there by afternoon ferry for Rhodes. My only regret is that I didn't stay at least one more night as it was a much more peaceful authentic experience then what I encountered on other Greek isles to date.
