There are three Durbar Squares and the one you look down on is the best. By far. Here’s why. 1. Beautifully restored after the earthquake. 2. Brilliant museum adjacent. 3. No cars (Kathmandu DS take note) or motorbikes (Bhaktapur ditto) 4. Locals promenading all the time. 5. Inspired lighting under the carvings rather than floodlit. … and you’re so close to this.

I booked for one week and stayed for five weeks! It was just too wonderful to leave. Beautiful heritage boutique hotel, clean and quiet. Yet just a few metres from World Heritage Patan Durbar Square. The 360 degree views from the rooftop spectacular to watch in any weather - sunrises and sunsets. The service never wavered - staff were consistently helpful, warm, engaging and also respectful of privacy. The chefs produce fantastic, fresh, delicious and substantial dishes - a wide variety menu! Thank you to every member of staff who helped me everyday - from rides to wrapping my sari. It was a pleasure to return from work commitments and being there really helped make the trip successful. Nothing was too much trouble -it was so relaxed and easy. Pushkar the Manager is a true gentleman and leads the best team! Location is ideal. A genuine and heartfelt thank you to all.

Pahan Chenn is a wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu. The staff are extremely helpful. The location is perfect. The rooms are clean & very comfortable. The shower is amazing. I would highly recommend Pahan Chhen.. A little gem in Kathmandu..

Our three night stay at this hotel was enjoyable . The room was spacious, clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful making sure our stay was enjoyable. The location is the main selling point for this hotel. Conveniently located jut 20 meters from Patan Durbar Square with plenty restaurants and cafes around. The breakfast was delicious partly made to order with some buffet choices. It was served on the ground floor at their ambient restaurant which also served a'la carte dinner dishes. We had two dinners here and both were good. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.”

What a brilliant place to stay - so, so close to the best Durbar Square in the Valley, and comfortable well-equipped rooms. There's a very good breakfast, and you get coffee made to order rather than a warmish pot of black on a hot-plate. But the rooftop restaurant. OK, you have to climb a steep metal sets of steps to get there, but once you're up there, especially at night, it's hard to imagine a better spot. That's a World Heritage Site just across the balustrade from where you're sitting!

Great hotel. Really lovely and great value for money. Huge room with two balconies. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Central location with two courtyards so gave you some privacy and quiet from the traffic noise. Early checkout in the morning but they gave us a packed breakfast to take with us. So sweet.
