Oceanside Village Resort

The cottage well equipped and we loved the fireplace! A perfect place for family Thanksgiving weekend celebration! The beds were amazing!! Very cozy and comfortable! We loved the pool and hot tub and the beautiful beach to walk on. We would definitely return with family and recommend to others.

We rented a cottage through Seaside Vacation Rentals at Oceanside Village Resort. In all the years of traveling with our dogs , we found this cottage was an exceptional find. It is very difficult to get both a pet friendly and quality rental. But Seaside Vacation rentals was definitely the exception. There was nothing that we could find that was not quality. We stayed at Cisco cottage and I am sure all cottages are as good. The amenities at the resort are great, including the indoor pool and hot tub. The Rathtrevor Provincial Park is next door. Being in the East coast of Vancouver Island makes the location perfect for exploring all of Vancouver Island. If you want the perfect home away from home, contact Judy at Seaside Vacation rentals. We had a fabulous stay. This was a family reunion and there was ample space of all. The facility was spotless, well stocked, the beds very comfy, the linens great, we were even supplied pool towels. This is an excellent facility and location. The office staff were friendly and very helpful.

We had an awesome stay at Oceanside Village Resort. When we arrived the staff was very friendly. They supplied us with a high chair, playpen and gate for baby which was amazing. The kids loved the pool and mini-golf. The cottage was perfect and very clean. We will definitely be staying here again.

We just spent three nights in one of the Oceanside cottages. The cottage was immaculate and the beds were very comfy. With two little children in our group, there was lots of room for them to play and we didn't feel we would bother the neighbours since each cottage is self contained. We enjoyed the use of the pool on our one rainy day. We were close to the beach and all that Parksville has to offer. We would definitely stay here again. The kids were quite sad to say goodbye to "our cabin". It is a house in reality.

We stayed here as a family of 6 adults. No partying, just a quiet family weekend. The leaving instructions said, "if you feel helpful, you could throw in a load of dirty towels before you leave and please take out all garbage and recycling (deliver down the road)." We did this and had a load of dishes in the dishwasher, too. When we left, we left 2 breakfast dishes and a dirty pan in the sink. They gave us a a low rating for cleanliness. We gave them 5 stars for everything, and I messaged privately to politely let them know that we did not have enough cups for our party of 6. We also had to clean the patio furniture in the front and back; it was filthy! The bed upstairs was uncomfortable. The manager, Nichole Proch, basically accused us of lying and then cut off communication. It felt like an absolute cash grab, with no regard for customer feedback or customer satisfaction. After giving your review on VRBO, there is no way to give feedback on the booking or review process. It is a one-way set-up: we paid over $1200 for 2 nights and they are not interested in hearing you out. DO NOT STAY HERE.
