From the moment we stepped through the door everything was just perfect. The welcome, our room, bed, food in the dining room - both dinners and breakfasts, cleanliness throughout. Excellent with specific dietry requirements. Could not fault.

Lovely clean hotel, very friendly staff, fabulous breakfast & great food in general. Stayed previously too & we plan to go again soon. Beautiful village with local shops, cafes & fabulous steam railway running through - all within the beautiful Forest if Dean. Thank you. We'll be back.

The hotel is in need of an overhaul, much worse than our previous visit 3 years earlier. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room tired and shabby. The food was tolerable. When leaving we were told by a member of staff that there was no paperwork for us so our money must have been taken already from our card. We were then accosted in the car park by the manager/cook as we were packing and accused of trying to run off without paying. It is our second and last visit to this establishment.

Had a great stay at the Fountain inn everything about the stay was great. The staff, the room and the food were all excellent couldn't fault a thing. Kitchen staff even offered to to cook bits that weren't on the menu! Meals were excellent and good portions. room was warm, comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Its an excellent location great for getting around the forest and is a great friendly welcoming place i'd highly recommend anyone to stay here.

There’s a good reason why this is our 3rd visit to the Fountain Inn - and we don’t go back to bad establishments! Nice rooms, good bathroom with bath tub, pleasant staff, easy parking, good wholesome food and a great location for the Forest of Dean. Perhaps, for the future, the Inn might consider installing some EV power points.

The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpfuff. We ate in in teh evening and teh dinner was bvery good. The breakfast menu choice was excellent and the quality was very good. The Fountain is in a great location for exploring the Forest of Dean area.

Michelle and her team made our stay very enjoyable. Our ground floor room (8) had excellent facilities for disabled guests and our meals were delicious. The Fountain Inn in Parkend is clearly a great place to stay when exploring the Forest of Dean.

Super hotel / pub. Met with friends and we were looked after In the bar and restaurant on the first evening. Good selection of ales and wines. Decent choices on the menu (I can recommend the chicken cooked with a creamy whiskey sauce) at reasonable prices. The room was clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed a pre ordered breakfast the next morning. Michelle and her team did a great job of making our group feel at home. I would highly recommend a visit or overnight stay.
