Hotel le Placide Saint-Germain des Prés

Adorable boutique hotel. The room is small, but enough space. The balcony with the bistro table and chairs is perfect for coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. The neighborhood is quite and located close to a metro station. The staff is incredible! Very accommodating and friendly!

Location is very good , the hotel is clean and stuff are friendly , not very much choices in the breakfast and the price is expensive for the quality of the rooms , they are rather small.. i went with my 2 kids , the rooms become smaller when you add a cod , there isnt place left to walk inside ..

This was my first time to Paris and I had such a great experience for the 5 days we stayed. We were greeted by 24 hour staff that bent over backwards to make our stay exceptional. I always felt safe and felt a priority. It was my birthday earlier in the month and they had a bouquet of the most beautiful flowers , a card and macaroons waiting for my on arrival in my room. We had breakfast included with our stay and it was amazing every day with staff always eager to make fresh coffee, cappuccino, eggs, etc. The room was great and has plenty of space for your needs, room was cleaned well and equipped with all your needs. I loved having two windows to view the street and get fresh air in bathroom and bedroom areas, the elevator was tight quarters but great just for avoiding the many tiny stairs Paris offers. Benjamin, Pierre, Emmanuel , Sosanto and everyone we encountered went above and beyond to assist us with taxis, restaurants, stores, directions, metro info and anything we asked. The decor is beautiful and cozy with fresh flowers, umbrellas are available to use. I. like that they keep your keys so you do not have to worry about them when you are touring Paris. They placed chocolates on our clean beds-so adorable! You have a hot pot and teas, coffees in room and minibar. There is a safe and nice Babybliss hairdryer! If I ever get the chance to return to Paris I would hands down choose here again for my stay, Thank you for all you do for your guests-it is a pleasure to stay here.

Advertised as boutique; in fact, a flea bag. We arrived at Le Placide expecting a lovely boutique hotel. Instead, we found a third-rate, commercial hotel. Our "junior suite" was a chair and a small table used by the coffee machine for which one pays if one chooses to use it. The room is tiny, but the bed is comfortable. The A/C is either freezing or warm. (It was very warm in Paris!) The bath was a hazard lacking any form of access assistance like grab bars in the show/tub combination. We had to help each other in and out of the shower. The only room with a walk-in shower had a bath on the ground floor but the bedroom up about twenty steep stairs. We declined. The elevator lobby was a laugh. One step out of the elevator and you were at your door. The elevator held two people. Luggage required a second trip. The elevator was shared with the service personnel so was busy most of time. The expensive breakfast was a laugh. One little croissant, some stale bread and overly ripe fruit. After one try, we went across the street for bagels. The staff tried to be helpful but lacked knowledge of the neighborhood. Any question was answered with looking in the computer. (I could do that!) We couldn't use the shower so checked out early.

Our entire family (8 adults and 2 children) spent a week in Paris, staying at Le Placide Hotel. It was wonderfull! The hotel's location, in a lively, yet quiet neighborhood, make's navigaing the city very easy, most popular sites are walkable, but there is also a metro stop nearby. The rooms are lovely; large and well furnished ; very comfortable. Most importantly, the staff is tremendous! Benjamin, and the front desk staff were very helpful answering questions before we arrived, and they could not have been more helpful during our stay. And finally, Susantha, the breakfast manager, quickly became a member of the family! His desire to exceed all expectations was remarkable, and his warmth was so welcoming every morning.

We recently stayed at this wonderful small hotel which is well situated and is extremely comfortable with a big bathroom. Le Placide is managed by the ever helpful Benjamin for whom nothing is too much trouble. All of the restaurant bookings he made for us also were superb. I highly recommend staying here and we look forward to returning there on our next stay in Paris. Thanks again to every single staff member of this family run boutique heavenly hotel. We loved it and sincerely appreciate all of the hotel teams efforts. Well done ..
