Hotel le Placide Saint-Germain des Prés

This is a small boutique hotel with a big heart! I was at first worried when I saw the lobby and the small front desk and elevator. But the room was big, the bathroom was spacious and clean and the bed and pillows were excellent. And their service was outstanding. Sunastha (I hope I got his name right) took care of us during breakfast. He recommended restaurants and even offered to prepare some croissants for us to bring to an early day trip. The receptionist during our check out warned us to pay the taxi driver only based on the meter. Should the driver cheat us, he suggested we email the hotel and they will reimburse us. I have stayed in many hotels and I must say this is one of the best. The location was perfect! Close to shopping and restaurants and even walking distance to Montparnasse station for train transfers. I was able to talk to some guests too and they said this is their go-to hotel in Paris. Merci beaucoup, Hotel Le Placide! See you next time.

Adorable boutique hotel. The room is small, but enough space. The balcony with the bistro table and chairs is perfect for coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. The neighborhood is quite and located close to a metro station. The staff is incredible! Very accommodating and friendly!

We stayed here as a family of 4. We had two rooms on the same floor (2 rooms per floor) which was ideal. The rooms were spacious for a boutique hotel in Paris and the bed very comfortable. On the first night we were all a bit hot as we couldn’t get the ac to work. They explained to us that the system is either AC or heating and because of the time of year it had to be on heating, but not to worry, the courtyard at the back was private to the hotel and so we were safe to have the back window open at night, and it was quiet with that window open. The breakfasts were lovely, we had fresh pastries, fruit, yogurts etc, but the best thing was that they just know kids love pancakes and so would make them every day. If you want some recommendations then they will happily book somewhere for dinner, or advise on places to go, they were so helpful. For location it was about a 25 minute walk to the river, or the metro was a block away to take you up to the Louvre and other locations and there is another line just a few minutes walk in the opposite direction. I think this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Made so good by the staff who were really excellent.

This was my first time to Paris and I had such a great experience for the 5 days we stayed. We were greeted by 24 hour staff that bent over backwards to make our stay exceptional. I always felt safe and felt a priority. It was my birthday earlier in the month and they had a bouquet of the most beautiful flowers , a card and macaroons waiting for my on arrival in my room. We had breakfast included with our stay and it was amazing every day with staff always eager to make fresh coffee, cappuccino, eggs, etc. The room was great and has plenty of space for your needs, room was cleaned well and equipped with all your needs. I loved having two windows to view the street and get fresh air in bathroom and bedroom areas, the elevator was tight quarters but great just for avoiding the many tiny stairs Paris offers. Benjamin, Pierre, Emmanuel , Sosanto and everyone we encountered went above and beyond to assist us with taxis, restaurants, stores, directions, metro info and anything we asked. The decor is beautiful and cozy with fresh flowers, umbrellas are available to use. I. like that they keep your keys so you do not have to worry about them when you are touring Paris. They placed chocolates on our clean beds-so adorable! You have a hot pot and teas, coffees in room and minibar. There is a safe and nice Babybliss hairdryer! If I ever get the chance to return to Paris I would hands down choose here again for my stay, Thank you for all you do for your guests-it is a pleasure to stay here.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and quality of this hotel. Benjamin, whose family owns the hotel, was so friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the breakfast spread was delicious. They would even deliver it to your room at no extra charge, including eggs however you’d like them cooked. The well-functioning AC was a godsend after spending very hot days seeing the city. The location was excellent. Be sure to visit nearby Bon Marche’s Epicurie for delicious pastries, picnic foods, and beverages. Close to various bus stops and Metro stations. Would definitely stay here again. Be advised if you are claustrophobic the elevator is quite tiny so you may wish to take the stairs. Loved it!

Our entire family (8 adults and 2 children) spent a week in Paris, staying at Le Placide Hotel. It was wonderfull! The hotel's location, in a lively, yet quiet neighborhood, make's navigaing the city very easy, most popular sites are walkable, but there is also a metro stop nearby. The rooms are lovely; large and well furnished ; very comfortable. Most importantly, the staff is tremendous! Benjamin, and the front desk staff were very helpful answering questions before we arrived, and they could not have been more helpful during our stay. And finally, Susantha, the breakfast manager, quickly became a member of the family! His desire to exceed all expectations was remarkable, and his warmth was so welcoming every morning.
