Atlantica Golden Beach Hotel - Adults Only

Stayed at the Atlantica Golden Beach hotel for a week between 30/10/24-06/11/24, we went as a couple in our 30s. This hotel is lovely and clean, couldn’t fault the staff as they are all super friendly and welcoming. The service they provide is excellent. Location is good, can easily catch a bust outside the hotel which comes regularly and would recommend going to Coral bay beach, the harbour and the old town. Food was tasty and different every night and the entertainment was nice too. All in all, we would happily come back here. Thank you Atlantica Golden Beach for making our holiday so enjoyable!

We had a very nice stay, our first time in Cyprus but not the last. Our flight was very late and we arrived after midnight. The gentleman on reception, was a very nice man. We recieved a small food bag, a glass of wine, detailed instructions on how to find our room, and cases taken up. Also because we arrived late the gentleman said we could checkout later at no extra cost on our last day. Michael has excellent customer service. Our room was a twin with a side sea view and overlooking quite a busy road. It could sometimes be a bit loud with traffic, but we didn't let this upset us too much. If I book again, I definitely want a double bed and over looking the pool. The room itself was very clean. Can I add the domestic staff work incredibly hard and have very high standards. The pool was chilly, but we loved getting in it, and once in, it was great, the pool bar was brilliant and the staff were very attentive. We loved the bar lounge and a member of staff stood out for us, Nicolette was amazing! What a credit to the hotel. We loved the cats, especially the kittens. Food was very good, we went to both A la Carte restaurants but thought the Olive and Thyme was superior to the one at the beach. Staff were brilliant. I would have given a 5 star review but a couple of things just took the shine off for us. I became very unwell on the Wednesday, my husband informed reception. But we didn't hear anything. Luckily I am medically trained and knew with a stomach bug to stay away for 48hrs. I stayed in our room, on the Thursday I felt awful and thought I might need a Doctor but by Thursday night, thank God, I felt much better. I saw the Tui rep who quickly told us it was definitely a stomach bug going round and we should inform the hotel. My husband said well I have, but we did again. We spoke to other guests who had also had the bug and they were told to stay in room and got room service, something that wasn't offered to us. I was gutted we lost 2 days but luckily I had a lovely day on the Saturday. Lastly the one thing that slightly annoyed me was the sunbeds by the pool were all taken by 8am. To get a decent position you need to nab one at 7am, I watched in amusement as I saw older Clientele nab the best beds! This hotel offers peace and relaxation so if you expect a livelier scene this is not the place for you. The staff are some of the best I've experienced and they are super in all departments. Oh! And the wee pebbly beach is cute but definitely bring beach shoes for swimming! Cyprus you are beautiful

Every October we go for a break, and there are x3 couples amongst us. The criteria for our holiday is: A) Lots of Sun B) Good food C) Nice place with high standards D) Good value for money E) Helpful staff The Atlantica Golden Beach ticks all of those boxes. The hotel isn't huge, but neither is it by any means small. Felt really accessible. The rooms (we had a Sea View) were very nice, and well air conditioned. The pool area is a nice size, and there are a number of reviews I read prior to my stay that said about there being an issue getting a sunbed - we didnt find this was the case, though there are signs everywhere that state that you cannot just pop your towel down pre 08.00am - so if you want a bed prior to then and guarantee it you need to stay with it until then which is fair enough. The restaurant was very good with a good selection of well cooked food - for me I thought the selection was more than adequate and was to a high standard. The meal at Basilico the A'la Carte restaurant was top notch! Definitely recommended. The bar staff were superb both during the day and in the evening - all bedside/table service and you are never short on drinks. Location wise we found it really good - no more than 10/15 mins from the harbour by taxi which was great as well. There are x2 lovely places to eat/drink nearby too - one just opposite the hotel and one near the Basilico beachfront restaurant if you fancied mixing it up. I didn't use the spa myself, but my wife and our friend did - and they really enjoyed it. If I was to have one minor issue - Room Service was offered but no one seemed to know how to do it. I did make a complaint - a light one - about this, which they were more than happy to resolve but in truth I didn't follow it up as it was not that much of an issue to dampen what was a superb holiday. Also, if you are allergic to or scared of cats - this may not be the place for you. There are lots of them - but you will get this in most places. I'd like to say a big thank you to one staff member in particular: Elpida in the terrace bar - you were excellent and so polite/welcoming and you gave us a real laugh - particularly when you thought my brother ordered a non-alcoholic beverage and you said "this can't be for you"! :) You're a credit to the team Elpida and to the Management team- she made our stay welcoming from the second we checked in to the moment we left. Thank you all, we had a great stay, and I hope to visit again in the near future!

The Service here is ABSOLUTELY SECOND TO NONE... unbelievably good.. such great attention to detail and friendly and helpful. AMAZING STAFF , AMAZING HOTEL. VERY CLEAN . Fantastic Food..Definitely recommend. This is a first class hotel with Staff that ate beautiful in every way

Perfectly situated for beautiful sunsets, the Atlantica Golden Beach hotel is excellent. The staff work so hard but are always smiling and welcoming. The food is great with some evenings themed and always a great selection - something for everyone. There is daily aqua in the pool and also an after lunch quiz or themed bingo. There is evening entertainment every night - Geoff Rey (Reggae and Motown) and Evans & Evans (amazing magicians)were our favourites but all acts were super. You can walk into the pool and there is a lifeguard on duty throughout the day. The bar staff are brilliant and the waiters serve drinks all day to sunbed areas. We even had frozen towels delivered on really hot days which was a welcomed treat. The room was cleaned every day by a super maid again with a smile! In all I cannot fault this hotel and we are definitely returning! Well done to all the staff at Atlantica Golden Beach.

We chose this particular hotel firstly because we could fly with Tui direct from our local airport .Secondly the tripadvisor reviews were very good on the whole.Also we knew we would get fantastic sunshine all week and this was true. Unfortunately the flights were night flights and very exhausting. The room is standard size but the bathroom is small but has a bathtub which is nice. The whole hotel is spotless and cleaned to a high standard including the glass throughout the building. Most meals are buffet style except for the two a la carte restaurants which were of a high standard .Breakfast was so extensive and there was something for every taste. Although the rest of the meals were fine they are not AMAZING as in so many of the reviews.We are much travelled and the food is just ok. We are not great on all inclusive as some people can drink too much but we did not notice any bad behaviour as we had worried about. The location is isolated and the views beautiful overlooking a rocky little bay ,not much actual beach. Forget getting a sun lounger near the pool as in earlier reviews they get taken at the crack of Dawn.Unfortunately the other grassed sections are very ill kept ,long scruffy weeds ,muddy patches and frequently used by the many cats. We had a nice week away ,hotel staff are the diamonds in this establishment but will not return
