OYO Hotel Totonacapan, Papantla

I would give this hotel negative 5 stars if ******* offered that rating. The rooms looked NOTHING like the photo. I looked at three rooms on at least two floors. The rooms were shabby, there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, the light switch flickered on-and -off, paint was flaked off the stucco in the corridors. The hotel elevator did not work. The entire appearance of the hotel rooms and corridors was dingy, shabby, and depressing. I couldn’t stay at this hotel; I left within two hours. One good thing about the hotel: the receptionists, Seila and Angela, were very nice. Seila was very understanding about my desire to cancel my reservation; Angela obliging lugged my suitcase from room to room as I tried to find a decent room. The manager, Harmi, said that she wouldn’t charge me for the 3-night reservation, but at the time of writing this review, I don’t know if she will honor her word.
