Barton Gate Farm B&B

Booked here as I didn't want to stay in a commercial hotel. As soon as I pulled up, I knew I had made the right decision. Absolutely beautiful setting, so tranquil. Paula, the host, made us feel welcome, right from the start. Continental breakfast is included and plentiful. If you want a cooked breakfast, it's a little extra. Our room was spotless, bright, and airy. The beds were comfortable and lovely bedding. En suite with a bath and shower over! Tea coffee making facilities plus a fridge, microwave,toaster plus all the crockery needed. We ended up staying 2 nights instead of just the 1. All in all. A fantastic host and a fantastic stay.

Lovely little B&B on the border of devon & Cornwall. We stayed here as a family of 4 the room was clean tidy and homely. The lady who runs it is very accommodating & welcoming 😊 Dog friendly Children friendly, in a perfect location. The one & only thing this was disappointing was that there was no farm animals. This was beyond their control but we would love to come back once they have them back as the kids would of enjoyed their stay even more 😊 Lastly although the breakfast was an additional cost it most certainly was worth it. Great sausages all cooked to perfection :-) Would we stay again? YES 😉 🐄🐖🐔🦙

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Barton Gate and regret not booking longer. Paula is a great host, very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are spacious and feel very homely, beds are comfortable one of the best nights sleep I've had in ages, rooms are also spotlessly clean. Despite being on a main road it was extremely quiet. Breakfast is your typical continental however paying for something cooked is well worth it! There is a games room on site, great if you have kids it kept our little one entertained in the evening. Located 1 minute from the Cornwall border makes it convenient to visit local places and not far from historic sites. We had a fabulous stay and feel sad to be home but will definitely be booking again. Barton Gate is truly a gem.

We have had a wonderful stay at Barton Gate farm b and b. Very comfortable room with comfortable beds, clean and tidy. Service was exceptional and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here for a visit. It’s perfectly situated within a good distance from Bude, padstow, Tintagel and Boscastle.

Took my two young girls away for a last minute break in half term. Safe to say we had the best time! Paula is absolutely lovely and makes the best scrambled eggs and her fried bread is apparently soooo good it tastes like doughnuts according the the littlest one! We felt very comfortable and welcome. Me and my girls had a fab time, we felt comfortable and safe. The room was lovely and just perfect for the 3 of us. The the wet room was a massive hit with the kids. The bed was super comfortable, probably the best sleep I’ve had in a while. Close to all things absolutely beautiful. We love it so much we’re already booked to go back in the summer

We where down to look at a property nearby we Booked Barton gate farm because it was near to where we needed to be for a few days, the farm is located just on the border of Cornwall and also just outside Holsworthy, It’s in a ideal location away from the hustle and bustle so peace and quiet, the owner was extremely welcoming and really attentive to your needs, the room we had, room 7 was a really good size and a bed that you will literally melt into, Continental breakfast is included in your stay but a full cooked breakfast is available for a small charge. I can’t recommend Barton Gate farm enough.
