Fergus Style Palmanova - Adults Only

I recently stayed at Fergus Style Hotel for a big milestone birthday. Unfortunately, the way the hotel presents itself on ******* was very different from the reality. I had chosen this hotel specifically for my birthday and was looking forward to a great stay. I used to live in Mallorca for over six years and left the island a few years ago, but I still visit every year. Based on the images and descriptions, I expected a relaxing, well-run hotel in a good location. I had been to the hotel´s bar and cafe area and reception lobby previously, though had never actually stayed there before. I paid a premium price for my two-night stay but was left deeply disappointed by the experience, primarily due to extremely poor hotel design, serious safety hazards, and very poor customer service. Extremely Badly Designed Hotel With Many Serious Safety Issues From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel had been very badly designed. The layout and architecture are confusing, inconvenient, and outright unsafe. For example, the entire reception area is like an island surrounded by steps — there is no step-free way to access the reception desk. This means guests with heavy luggage, mobility issues, or even just regular guests must navigate steps to check in or out. When I tried to ask if they could hold my luggage on checkout, I found there was no way to get my suitcases near reception without carrying them around a very difficult path with steps and ramps that are poorly maintained and hazardous. The hotel also uses cheap wooden slats to divide the balconies of different rooms, which have huge gaps between them so you can see through and be seen easily. The balconies themselves are very tiny, offering little privacy or space. The windowsill of my room was in poor condition and clearly not well maintained. Breakfast/Restaurant Area The breakfast area is also problematic: the enormous furniture is not suitable for the size of the room and creates a very cramped environment. At the section where you can take bread and toast it, I witnessed a man holding a large, long bread knife moving around in such a cramped space that he could have easily hit me or another guest nearby with the knife. This is a clear safety hazard and a sign that the breakfast layout needs urgent reconsideration. The door to the breakfast room is a fire door which is often closed because of a wind tunnel effect in that corridor. This means that when you come to breakfast and are about to push the door open, you can find people trying to come out through the same door at exactly the same time, since you cannot see each other through the door and this is what happened to me and others. Injury A particularly serious safety issue was the heavy lamp that was hanging dangerously low over the bedside table and the phone in my room. The lamp appeared to be made of heavy ceramic or possibly stone, and it was positioned so low that I hit my head on it twice — and I am only just over five fe

Had to be moved due to lots ants in room , the reception guy tried telling us it’s normal this time of year , pathetic . Anyway we were moved asap. The hotel is loverly and very clean and modern . The pool area was basic and the pool is only 4ft deep . We had a swim up pool to our room and found this to be very beneficial due to the high heats. The room air on was poor and not enough for us to. Once again the guy on reception said it’s normal . NO it is not !! We found the beds hard and only 1 pillow uncomfortable . The breakfast is really loverly , fresh clean and tasty . The staff are not smiley and we didn’t get a smile all week . However , we just carried on . We had a great time the beach is across the road . We do prefer closer to maga really but we still had a great time we got the bus to maga. Too hot to walk . All in all we would return if we had a bargain .

Excellent hotel. Location is perfect. Just cross the road and you’re on the beach. Bus stop close by, cheap and easy to use to get to the nearby port or 20-30 mins to Palma. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops/mini-supermarkets close by or a short walk away. Everyone at this hotel was polite, friendly and helpful. Fluent in English. Brilliant choice every morning for breakfast; hot/cold buffet, omelets/ eggs made as requested.

What can we say apart from fabulous Absolutely lovely place to be based and we definitely will be back. It’s clean, trendy and the staff make the place feel like a home from home Would have been better with a warm pool but you can’t have everything

Great trip Beds & pillows are very comfy Reception staff were amazing from check in to check out. Late check out was requested it was not a problem. Will definitely stay again. Location of the Hotel is also great. Direct beach access. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

This hotel is spot on for everything … friendliness,location, amenities. It was like walking into a relaxation hub, the reception through to the rooms we couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was fresh and had something for everyone. Service was always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. It was a 30 minute bus journey (pay on your card it’s cheaper nearly half the price than euros) to arrive and find it was literally on the sea front and in amongst some shops, eateries and beach walks. This time of year there isn’t much open in the surrounding areas but we felt we didn’t need to go as the shops here were friendly and no pressures to buy. This hotel was lovely and we will definitely be coming back or use the fergus hotel chain again. Even though it is a chain it had a family feel touch. We had a spa and that was amazing a little on the pricey side but as we came for relaxation it was well worth it. Even though the hotel is on the front it is very quiet. Also we were by the lift and never heard it so don’t worry about noise it was very relaxing.
