Hotel Bosch Boutique

We really liked our stay at Bosch Boutique in Palma. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. The room was big and our bathroom was great as well. Perfect location for a city visit in Palma. We can recommend this hotel to everyone. This hotel was one of the best ones we stayed at during sightseeing trips. Would go again.

A gem in Palma We had the Borne room. The room is spaceous and with a nice ambience. The bed was absolutely amazing. Best hotel bed ever. A small balcony overlooking the square. Even though the hotel is situated on one of the busiest squares in Palma, the noise in the room from the street was not a problem. We had a problem with the aircondition and it was fixed immediately. Will definately recommend this hotel.

After much research, I booked this hotel for a city break fot the end of our Summer holiday 2022 for my family of 3. The central location and the funky design of the rooms appealed to me. I booked directly with the hotel and communication was fast and friendly. This was November 2021 , eight months ahead of intended stay. At no point was I asked to prepay , and my credit card number was not sought. I didn't think much about that at the time, and no payment was requested at any point subsequently. I do not recall that being a condition at the time of booking. So, imagine my horror , when ,upon arrival at the hotel, there was no record of my booking, After a blasé response from the girl at reception , whose English was very poor, she called her boss and handed me the phone! This person then shouted at me, saying it was her day off and she didn't need this hassle! She said my room was cancelled as I hadn't paid in advance ! I said I wasn't asked to pay in advance! They had my email address and phone number! It would have been so easily rectified, but they failed to seek payment and made out it was my fault! So, now , we were ,unceremoniously left to wander the narrow streets of Palma Old Town ,in the late July heat, looking for a hotel . We wandered into Hotel Brondo , where, although, fully booked for the week, a very helpful receptionist, Hervé, helped us secure alternative accommodation. Before writing this review, I emailed the hotel, but received no response.

2 friends stayed in this apartment in Bosch Hotel. We found it to be spotlessly clean, well equipped and very spacious. No balcony but large doors open up. No road noise, just cathedral bells on a morning which was wonderful. The class toilet door does mean you need to be organised! Great location for all the best parts of Palma. The 2 reception staff we dealt with were extremely helpful and polite. Would definitely stay again.

I’ve had to think long and hard about writing this review: I’m a firm believer in not using Tripadvisor as a soap-box for dissatisfaction, as it’s only fair and proper to give the establishment the opportunity to address any issues at the time they crop up. On this occasion however, whilst I’ve been generally impressed with the facilities and ambience offered by Bosch Boutique Hotel during my two visits, I have to agree one hundred percent with the many reviewers who comment about the complete lack of communication from the hotel, and the absence of their attention to important detail, from the booking and checking-in process through to the absence of advertised facilities during my stay. For my first visit I booked on their website, where it tells me that they would take payment from my debit card “straight away” – yet when there were only a couple of days left before my arrival I tried to contact them to ask if my reservation had been confirmed, as my payment hadn’t been taken. The mobile phone number didn’t answer, and I was invited to leave a message. I waited three days with no response, before I contacted Bar Bosch (the bar café beneath the hotel) to see if they could help. It seemed clear to me that they were well used to being bothered by hotel customers panicking because they hadn’t been contacted, because whilst they were as helpful as they could be, they were at pains to point out that the two businesses were completely separate, and so they couldn’t really help. I persisted with the mobile number, and was eventually able to get a human response, which perfunctorily dismissed my concerns. Moments later (as if prompted by my concern) I received notification from my credit card that the funds had just been taken, and a numeric code for the door entry panel. Upon arrival late in the evening, but fortunately whilst Bar Bosch was still open, I found the entry code didn’t work. Fortunately I was able to enter the hotel through Bar Bosch, but had I been much later I guess I would have suffered the same fate as another reviewer, who had to resort to the good-nature of another hotel who accommodated them (illegally) without sight of their passports, which were locked in their inaccessible room at Hotel Bosch. I had made the simple request during my reservation, for twin beds (I was attending on business with a male colleague). The double bed had not been split into two single beds. There was indeed a minibar as advertised – but it contained nothing at all – especially not the offered free bottle of Cava. The toilet flush fitting was broken, and my attempts to report it to the mobile phone number (there were no staff in attendance, apparently owing to COVID) resulted this time in no reply whatsoever – so I repaired it myself.
