Visited in April 24 and was completely mesemerized by the peace, tranquility, connect with nature of this place spread across 50 acres nestled in between imposing mountains and having well appointed cottages, swimming pool, stud farm, homecooked farm to table food. There were all kinds of birds ranging from the tiny hummingbird to the beautiful peacock all in their full glory and true habitat. Taking a dip in the swimming pool in complete silence from manmade noises and only the sounds of such birds was truly an experience for someone born and brought up in a city ! Owner thakur saheb is a true learned gentelman and great to have a conversation with. Staff is non intrusive and willing to follow instructions without much ado. Jeep safari arranged on rocky mountains and jawai dam was exhilarating with almost surety of spotting a leopard in its full glory. Son of soil approach of resort away from all corporatised and standardised hotel chains is a must have experience !

Our first impression upon entering the property was that it was a forlorn place, with only rustic front office building visible amidst a mini jungle. We were welcomed by Shri Nirbhay Singhji, the owner, and immediately realized that we were sitting in a place with rich history. As we were taken to our cottage, the beauty of the place unfolded, with a lovely restaurant block, swimming pool and well-placed cottages. Apart from these areas, the property which also houses a stable, has been left to develop naturally. The constant presence of Nirbhay Singhji narrating the past in detail brought out interesting facts about the place and people. We did not opt for Leopard Safari as we had done many in the past. But the surprise package was, when in the evening, Nirbhay Singhji took us for an almost 3 hour drive through their farms, dairy, poultry; and the best of all – over 150 acres of their property which has been left to grow into a natural jungle. It almost appears like a bio-sphere – unspoilt, serene, with large number of plant and shrub species growing and supporting each other and the fauna of the place. It was the first time that we had seen one family’s rich contribution towards conservation. Truly revealing and commendable! The cottages are well appointed, clean and spacious. Nice swimming pool, excellent food – personally supervised by the family and wonderful staff make you want to spend more time here. The second day we had a nice dip in the pool, and in the evening, Nirbhay Singhji took us on another site – a quartz hill amidst the Aravalli range – but so different and captivating! We spent another 21/2 to 3 hours imbibing the beauty of the nature; visited their private temple in the village and came back thoroughly satisfied. It is an ideal property for nature lovers and people who are looking for some undisturbed ‘me time’, also those seeking adventure like horse riding, trekking and jungle driving. The place grows upon you. The personal touch of Nirbhay Singhji and family is priceless.

Nestled amidst nature and the Jawai Forest Range is this quaint, beautiful property in Korta village, Rajasthan. We spent two nights here, and not only did we get to discover the best Pali Leopard Safari while immersing in Jawai's natural splendour, but we also experienced true Rajputana hospitality. The owner of Korta Escape, Mr. Nirbhay Singh, makes sure none of his guests miss his personal care. Another added advantage of staying here is the home-cooked food they serve. All the vegetables used, we were told, were home-grown and organic. We were there with our 4-year-old, and it was a huge relief. The area is sprawling so much that 14 grown-up horses and their babies have their own stables and separate areas for grazing. Mr. Nirbhay Singh, a pro-horse rider, shares his knowledge about horses as passionately as he talks about history, political science, arms, artillery, and what not. Evenings are something one shouldn't miss about this property. There's a bonfire with drinks and snacks, followed by a lip-smacking dinner of Rajasthani royal cuisines, including lal maans and panchkuta. We are already planning to visit this property real soon.
