Allegra House

We stayed here recently as part of a big month long trip and would thoroughly recommend it as a base for exploring the Bay of Islands - we stayed in the top suite which has a lovely balcony so you can properly enjoy the glorious views - the room has a nice shower room and a fridge which is always useful if you get . The hosts Brita and Heinz are very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and provide plenty of leaflets of things to do and places to go. Breakfast was excellent - lots of variety with lovely fresh fruit but prepare to incur the wrath of Heinz if you want his homemade fresh bread toasted . The property has plenty of parking available - please bear in mind it is at the top of hill so be prepared for the walk back if you leave the car when going out for dinner ( have a few drinks - you wont notice it so much ) If we are ever back in the Bay of Islands we would not hesitate to stay here again

Wonderful stay in an amazing location. We were lucky to have the top floor with spectacular views. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and breakfast was superb. Better in sun but such an amazing view to wake up to. Definitely recommend it.

We had a fabulous three night stay at Allegra House in the one bedroom apartment. Heinz and Brita were fabulous hosts who made us feel so welcome. The apartment was perfect with stunning views across the bay. Everything was beautifully presented and very clean. We will definitely be back.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this charming B&B in Paihia! The owners were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to ensure that we felt at home. From the warm welcome to their thoughtful recommendations for local attractions, they truly made our visit special. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast – without a doubt, the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a B&B! Fresh, delicious, and expertly prepared, it was the perfect way to start the day. The owners’ attention to detail and commitment to making every guest feel pampered is truly unmatched. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Paihia. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy amazing food, and experience the genuine hospitality that makes New Zealand so wonderful!

Allegra house is the place to stay in bay of islands, stunning view, incredible apartment and super friendly and nice hosts. Not to be missed is the breakfast facing the bay. The host os very knowledgeable about the area and will give you usefull informations. The place is conveniently located, close to shops and the pier. Thumbs up for this place.

We spent four nights @ The Allegra House and loved it. We found the rooms very comfortable with great views of the Bay of Islands. Then there is the breakfast which can’t be beat. We also appreciated the insights and suggestions about local sights to visit. With everything going on in the US right now, we asked Brita & Heinz to adopt us for four years… 🤗
