Wilpattu Tree House

This was our second trip to the Wilpatu Tree house. The management has changed since we were last here 6 years ago. I feel it has faded slightly. The staff were friendly and eager to please, but it felt there was some anxiety in their manner, as if they were scared of the bosses. There was no direct evidence of this, though. We had an issue with the shower, which was quickly solved. But, oh, the wildlife! From treehouse 3 we were right next to the canopy of a fruiting strangler fig. We were feet away from over 20 species of birds, including both varieties of Hornbill. Of course we went on a safari (and got to see a Sloth bear) but the view of the birds from our balcony was stunning. I couldn't tear myself away!

We had an excellent stay at the treehouse such a lovely natural environment with nature all around and the sounds of the wild. The rooms was very comfortable and lovely shower. The food was excellent and almost the staff very friendly and attentive. I would recommend to all to stay here anytime for the nature and peace. Thank you.

A great location right next to Wilpattu National Park. We stayed in the Tree House, which felt like you were so close to nature and a great view from the balcony. The food was home made and absolutely delicious. The hotel organised a safari tour at the park, which was great. We saw so many animals but unfortunately not a Leopard on that day. Thank you for looking after us so well .

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Wilpattu National park. It is situated right by the entrance. We stayed in a tree house which was clean, comfy and everything worked. The shower was nice surprise. From our balcony we could see some many birds that you would think you were in the national park. The staff were very friendly, helpful and change arrange everything you need. The food is the restaurant in good but you are expected to let them know what you would like to eat when you arrive. This was not an issue for use and comfortably unstandable for a small hotel. Highly recommended

Accommodated all needs and beyond. We visited on Christmas Eve and the children got surprise Christmas gifts and chocolates. The staff is incredibly friendly and does everything they can to ensure you have a perfect stay. You can enjoy wildlife on your whole stay here. A dream come true for the whole family

The first time I stayed in a tree house was one of my most memorable holidays in Sri Lanka. The nature surrounding this place makes you feel like you're living in a forest. The tree house is clean and the beds are very comfortable. It will take you 4 minutes to get to Willpatthu park and 3 minutes to get to the river bank. It's best to avoid walking around the village after 6.30pm as wild elephants start wandering around. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I want to thank Nelson, Tamara, and Ajantha specifically for making my vacation comfortable. Without a doubt, I will come back again. Thank you,
