Days Hotel by Wyndham Chennai OMR

I've been staying recently at this really pretty amazing hotel for almost 3 weeks. (March 6th- March 26th 2025). The restaurant has a really superb and ample variety dishes raging from Southern Indian to Northern Indian, and from Chinese to Italian or Japanese Cuisine. Wether you miss Mouton Rogan Josh from Kashmir or fantasise with some Kovalam Beach fresh fish Tandoori, the restaurant certainly has it!!! The Manager, mr Veniatesan surveys the operations with an extremely friendly and convivial smile but he's aware at every moment, who's bored, who wants the bill, who might need a second freshly squeezed papaya juice, etc. Also from the restaurant, a warm thank you for Priyanka who has an amazing memory retaining all the previously expressed preferences,Bishu always fast thinking and attentive to details, Sameena, extraordinarily affable and efficient, and Praveen, always nonchalantly coordinating chefs, waiters, busboys even at peak hours with the restaurant absolutely packed. The hotel has a nice, outdoor swimming pool offering towels upon the swimming pool area. Also the receptionists, Ananthraman and Kalai are phenomenally pro-active, ready to arrange for a ride to the closest Mall or wine store and they will speak in Tamil to the driver and make sure that you are not overcharged or taken advantage in any way. The rooms are very spacious and have lots of amenities, fluffy pillows and the cleaning is done daily and it is always absolutely beyond reproach. Absolutely highly recommended and I am looking forward to - God willing - coming back in August with my wife and two children!

First, I am not sure whose mistake is this, but on Google Maps, the location of the hotel is wrong. It says, near Marina mall / SPICOT, but on calling the property, I was told it's elsewhere about 5 kms away. When I drove in around 11:00 PM, there was no security, no one to guide with parking. Just when I finished parking my car, a Valet sprung into action advising me to park my car closer to wall. Anyway, Check-in was smooth. The room was spacious and "looked" neat. Both the Twin beds were not comfortable at all. It was too hard for my comfort. Hardly any amenities other than bottles of water. Stained couch set occupied the room as well. Though the room looks neat, on closer look it is actually not. There were stains on pillows and corners of room. Restroom wasn't tidy either. It was broken and stained. Amenities were poor. No dental kits and only one towel with no face towels. The washbasin leaked and was unclean. Breakfast was let down by their service. I ordered for eggs and dosa only to not find the person who took the order ever again. And no else was also there to attend to requests. I simply had bread and left. What should I do when I see no one? Checkout again was quick and easy. The valet was seen during check-out and he was merely an eager looking onlooker this time who seemed only curious on how I took my car out. I remember staying on few other Wyndham properties before, but this stay was just disappointing on so many levels.

It was a pleasure vacation family time and we found a good deal in this hotel. And I think we made a good choice because the hotel is well placed in Padur Village in Chennai. It has a good walking distance Food court and various other shopping areas. Why it is not very close to the beach, but Kovalam Beach is still at shortest driving distance. The quality of food the facilities like pool are excellent. If time arises to book again in this area, this would be my First preference.

Very conveniently located near our work place in Padur, it's walking distance and check-in time is just right, if you arrive from by Shatabdi exp, ample parking for those who drive by car. breakfast is good, can do with starting a bit early, say by 7am.

It's tough to describe what exceptional service feels like. You really need to experience it to believe it. From the moment of arrival, we were thoughtfully accommodated by the reception and concierge team. Even before receiving our room keys, our room was upgraded to a deluxe and it was immediately felt that our stay would be memorable. From that moment our concierge Mr. V (apologies, was not able to remember his full name :) was just incredible. He brought us complementary cappuccinos and appetizers, and gave us a tour of the hotel. Every question was answered and every request was met with smiles and enthusiasm by Mr. V and his team. Very pleased with this level of hospitality. This felt like 5 Star hotel service and should be rated as such. We will absolutely be back!

Overall a pleasant stay. Pleasing service all around. Food in general and breakfast in particular can be a shade better. Nice swimming pool/jacuzzi. Clean bedsheets and towels. Nothing much to complain about.
