Coswarth House with Breakfast at Rick Stein's

A short walk from the harbour front, we found this was a perfect spot for exploring Padstow and beyond. The Georgian house has been lovingly renovated with period decor and luxurious furnishings. We stayed in the Brunyee room which overlooked the garden and had an amazing bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble for the host, who provided fresh coffee and tea, and checked-in with us regularly to make sure everything was OK. He provided helpful recommendations for visits, restaurants and travel. The breakfast was worth the very short walk, with good choice, excellent quality food and friendly staff.

We had the most wonderful stay at Coswarth House in the Veranda room this summer. The room was large and comfortable and the roll top bath was gorgeous. Just a short stroll into town (and to breakfast) meant everything was just minutes away. Mark went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, even helping us out to find a taxi when we needed one last minute. The added extras like a bottle of Prosecco on arrival made the whole trip feel luxury start to finish. Would definitely recommend!

We visited Padstow for 5 nights as a Birthday treat, as we were dining at Paul Ainsworth’s No6 and Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant. We wanted to stay in Padstow and Coswarth House was in a great location, with parking (not always easy in Padstow) and within walking distance of all the local amenities. Mark, the proprietor was great from booking our visit, to arranging all the finer details, such as a welcome bottle of Prosecco in our fridge, Cafetiere Coffee, a selection of Teas, fresh Milk and Water daily, even down to providing an Umbrella in the room for the unpredictable English weather. An absolute bonus, was that we got to take our breakfast (into the price) at one of Rick Stein’s restaurants, in our case this was St Petroc’s Bistro, approx 200m down the road, which was amazing. The standard of the room was fabulous, very spacious, beautiful decor, very comfortable bed and very quite at night. The products supplied in the room were top quality, nothing was too much trouble, Mark even left a Birthday card and bottle of Prosecco outside of our door. All in all, a fabulous stay, would highly recommend, Cheers Mark!

I have absolutely no idea how any of the below guests could find fault and give Coswarth House anything other then 5*. Well what can I say other than perfect!! Mark is an outstanding host who goes out of his way to ensure anything you need is achieved. We were rather needy for the first few days as my husband is quite disabled, however Mark acquired everything we asked for and more. The perfect boutique accommodation which was very classy. You could see a lot of cost, effort and thought had gone into the soft furnishings. The location of Coswarth House could not be better placed to not only have a spectacular view of the estuary but also relatively easy walk into the centre of Padstow. I have used the word relatively only because my husband is disabled if you are not disabled I would just say an easy short hill. The breakfast at St Petroc’s Bistro was outstanding I feel so lucky that Coswarth House B&B came with this. I have to say we felt it was slightly more than just a B&B and can understand why they use the words B&B hotel. We would highly recommend staying here and if we ever visit the beautiful Padstow again we will be checking in nowhere else but Coswarth House.

This lovely property is situated conveniently within walking distance of the center of Padstow, in a quiet area of town. Mark, the owner, went above and beyond our expectations, both in his communication and his accommodation of our family's needs. This vintage apartment is beautifully decorated---the enormous bathroom contains an antique iron clawfoot bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower. Mark left us a bottle of Prosecco which we enjoyed in the beautiful garden at the front of the property. He kept in touch with us throughout our visit, offering to make dinner reservations if we needed them and was very attentive. This property is bi-level, with two sets of stairs. A fantastic experience--we cannot wait to return!

We had an amazing time staying at Coswarth House! The boutique room was really beautiful and spotless and the bed was super comfy. We had everything we needed for the perfect stay. The shower was really powerful with lovely luxury products and I enjoyed the deep claw foot bath looking out over the sea. The Breakfast at Rick Steins was so delicious! We will definitely be back soon and would highly recommend!
