This hotel is more like an airbnb and is suited for a certain type of visitor. We found the manager responsive and friendly and the property is in a great location-close to several popular sites such as the Byward Market. I also thought the rooms were clean though me like a 2 star property. For some reason, the floor tiles didn't connect; the shower handle was jiggly, and while I found the bed comfortable, it was reminiscent of my college dorm bed. It is also not suitable for anyone with limited mobility, I don't think there was an elevator and there are no ground floor rooms. It is contactless, so you have a code for the (unmarked) entrance and the room itself, which worked well. There is no onsite parking, the outdoor parking lot nearest by was a bit sketchy. The parking seemed to be about $30 if you were staying overnight, but the directions seemed to be unclear as to how to purchase the correct parking time. My husband went to ask someone he thought worked there, and it was just some guy urinating behind the booth. Parking was available nearby at the market itself and though self parking as well, seemed more secure. There was a little kitchen that seemed well stocked, though we didn't cook. I am not sure how the prices stacked up to any other hotels, but I felt safe. I hope the owners make a go of it.
