Excellent place to stay, updated and cute. Nothing fancy but very clean and steps to lake. Very good service too!! The Sage pub across the street was one of the best pubs I’ve eaten at. 6 different media over a period of a few days, every single meal was absolutely delicious.

Our family has returned once again to another most enjoyable week long experience. Management and staff make you feel welcome. We feel as though if you don't enjoy your time there, then it's your own fault. The sandy, safe beach for the kids, picnic tables, grass area, and BBQ's, make you think you're camping until you realize that you have a safe, AC and comfortable room where you can cook if you wish and keep your beer cold. We've already booked to return for a fourth time in 2025.

Was so happy to discover this spot! Beautiful, well appointed rooms, clean and fresh. It’s early June but the beach is one of the best! Nicole was lovely to deal with! Across the street at the pub they serve the most delicious pizza! Thank you! Can’t wait to be back!

The Poplars is a small, quiet hotel on the south end of Lake Osoyoos in the Canadian Okanagan region. Very small staff so the front desk is not always attended. Ring the hotel phone # and you'll get a rapid response. Staff is attentive, chippy and helpful. They let us know about a nice pub-eatery immediately across the street. As mentioned, very quiet. Room came with a refrigerator and stove/cooktop. We'd stay again!

My family and I visited this hotel like we did every year but this year the staff and owner were horrible to us and then accused us of damages over week after we left.Threatened to sue my dad if he didn’t pay for them and said they would send the photos but my dad payed them befor seeing the photos and of course they never sent them. We were on eveacuation alert one night when we were there so we were packing up and my dad had my 3 year old out on the walk way area and all he was doing was crawling under the chairs back and forth I guess another guest complained so the next day while we were on the beach the owner of the hotel yelled at me and told me next time to keep my kid in the room. This is not a family friendly hotel stay away, stay at another hotel

We've been coming to Poplars for several years now. Managers Krista and Rod are on-site, professional and personable. Poplars rooms have recently been refreshed. The decor may have changed but the atmosphere is still family friendly.

What a wonderful place! The room was modern and comfortable, complete with living area and kitchen. There’s a beautiful grassy picnic area with bbqs and picnic tables. So you can cook in your room or bbq outside! It’s walking distance to a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The best part is the motel is right on the beach!! Walk out of your room and your steps away from a beautiful sandy beach right on the lake! There’s even loungers available to relax on and take in the view! The management was wonderful and helpful. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the property who was there with her daughter. Such a lovely family. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. I went with some girlfriends but there was a nice mix of families as well. Really does cater to everyone! I will definitely be back every summer!

We have been coming here for 19 years and it the absolute best place to go with a large group of friends and family . The rooms are completely renovated and gorgeous. I give this place a 10/10 love it .

This is an ideal location right on the beach with a large grassy area with picnic tables and BBQs. Warm and friendly environment you'll want to come back every year! Karen, the owner, has done an amazing job with the new renovations. She and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We have been coming to the Poplars Motel on the Lake since 2015 and can't imagine anywhere else we'd like to spend our week on the beach! We LOVE it here! Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!
