Castello di Titignano

It was a totally out of the box experience for myself and my two sons travelling g from NZ to the Italian countryside for a family friends wedding. The castle was just stunning. Generous breakfasts included in room changes and the accomodation was adequate for the three of us. Views to die for-an hours drive to Perugia/Assisi and 30 to Orvieto. Staff are keen to please and accomodating.

Tremendous experience - staff are extremely helpful, the room was lovely and extremely large, and the wedding we were attending was held magnificently - especially considering there was a small medical incident while we were there.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding in mid July. A week after we returned we found we had an infestation of brown bugs in our kitchen close to where we unpacked our suitcases. I had suspicions they were brought home from this venue and it has since been confirmed as another member of the wedding party is also infested with these bugs. There are thousands of them in our home. It’s cost us hundreds of pounds so far and they are still appearing 3 weeks later after using serious amounts of insecticide which is very dangerous for my young children. Disgusting place that needs to be fumigated. I advise anyone who has stayed here to check all your suitcases etc As you may be as unlucky as us. Anyone due to stay here, I’d advise you to find an alternative.

The hotel was located in a beautiful setting with magnificent views of the Umbrian countryside. The room was comfortable. The receptionists were friendly and accommodating. However, the service beyond this left something to be desired. The bar was actually a shop. Gin and tonic should never be offered in a plastic glass. The hotel should purchase seats for their guests to sit. There was a menu in our room which sounded fantastic. Unfortunately nothing on that menu was available in the restaurant. There was no choice of red wine! For a hotel of this standard this is unacceptable. The castle needs to rely less on its setting and more on its services.

Il castello è un piccolo borgo medievale con camere e corpo centrale dove c’è un fantastico ristorante con un salone che ti fa immedesimare in quei tempi…il cibo è eccellente.. materie prime del territorio…il personale gentile e preparato.. piscina con vista sul lago di Corbara…le camere spaziose.. l’unica pecca è la strada per arrivarci.. 3 km di sterrato in mezzo alla vegetazione del parco naturale.

Sono andata al castello per un pranzo di sabato,cibo ottimo e abbondante location affascinante con vista super,vale la pena fare un po’ di strada per arrivare in questo posto dove sembra di essere tornati indietro nel tempo.Si possono fare escursioni a piedi panorami stupendi.
