Khai Hotel Bodrum

We are just back from a x4 night stay in your hotel. I have a few issues I’d like to point out. Our room was lovely cool and spacious and exactly as described via your website. The hotel itself is stunning with fantastic views and a lovely beach, However your service and staff in the restaurant let your establishment down in a huge way. Very very rude and ignorant to the fact we only spoke English. Ignoring us on numerous occasions and making us feel like we were not even wanted there! I don’t think a communication barrier can be used as an excuse as their body language was another let down! The last lunch we had in particular- we waited 15 minutes to be served and then when we did order our food came 45 minutes later and still no drinks even though we asked for them x3 times. I wish I was kidding. I at one stage stood up and helped myself to a glass of ice on the side in the restaurant I was so thirsty. Finally our drinks arrived a coke and a beer: nothing overly complicated! The x3 male servers weren’t overly busy so this can not be an excuse. When the female host came with our bill I was absolutely shocked to see a €6 service charge on bill. When I explained how long I had waited she just shrugged and said I wasn’t the first to complain that day and management would need to be contacted if I wanted a refund! The food was exceptional but the staff ruined the whole experience- even at breakfast we were treated horribly. Your pool is advertised as having a kids area?? Where is this?! We sat and watched up to 15 kids in the pool with floats boats etc shouting and screaming and splashing. Leaving us unable to enjoy a swim. It’s such a shame as I feel your hotel could be excellent but your service staff let it down.

Cozy & chic hotel, excellent food all day long and great tish restaurant by the sea. Rooms are clean and staff is always smiling & helpful. Thank you for everything

Location of the hotel was great, seaside is right in front of the hotel. You reach by walking foot. Food and the service team in the restaurant were very good. The pier dedicated to the hotel was removed as per said by the hotel management. One of the reasons we had chosen the hotel was the pier. They still showcase the pier still in their social media pages. We had a terrible experience in our last night. Bad sheets were dirty and stained and we realized this once we woke up in the morning during the day light. We shared the situation with the management. They explained this as the sheets are clean but the stains did not remove during the cleaning. Nothing more has been done, they took the feedback as a very normal situation. We left the hotel with this last experience. I share the photos in the attached.

As an American we had a big safety concern when staying at this hotel. I had called for the sheets to be changed for my toddlers bed. The housekeeping worker Samime Siyah walked into my room without permission or knocking when I was changing my child. She walked in and started shouting at my one year old because he had an accident on the bed and she did not want to change the sheets. Who shouts at a baby like that? She made me cry and got no apology from neither her or the GM. She gave me scary looks for the rest of my stay which made me cancel my vacation days earlier as I was staying in a garden room and security was an issue as upon seeing her anger we were not sure what she was capable of. We returned to USA and do not recommend this hotel for security purposes to families with children as the staff can be unpredictable and there is no security on site.

We had the most wonderful time at Khai Hotel with our family last month! Breakfast was perfect- there were plenty of delicious choices along with the best coffee/tea. The rooms, pool, and the beach were all very clean. We were just a few steps from the beach and the water was just perfect. Every single one of the staff were very welcoming and happy to help us have a pleasant experience. We are thankful especially to Mustafa Karadağ, Doğakan Bekar, and Firdevs, who all worked hard to take care of us and made it a memorable experience. Thank you to the entire team at Khai Hotel!
