Cappadocia Splendid Cave Hotel

This hotel is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff and people are amazing and I'm glad I made friends with them all. HIGHLY recommend this hotel for a beautiful experience. And the hotel and rooms itself are beautiful. Can't go wrong.

What a beautiful hotel, stunning room with beautiful views. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a splendid stay in Cappadocia and just love this part of Turkey 🇹🇷 A definite "go to" for an amazing experience in the air balloons and all the historical places to visit. Was one of our highlights on our visit to Cappadocia.

I’m a relatively experienced solo female traveler, and this hotel was probably my favorite travel experience yet! This was my first trip to Turkey, so I was unsure exactly what to expect, but the staff at Splendid Cave made every aspect of my stay amazing. I can’t say enough! First, I was greeted by my name and a welcoming smile before I even got through the gate. Then, I was pleasantly surprised to find my room had been upgraded to a jacuzzi room without my asking. The aesthetics of the hotel are beautiful inside and out- and the bright colors used through traditional decor set against the monochrome cave landscape make for both beautiful picture opportunities as well as a cheerful and immersive atmosphere - an authentic stay at a boutique venue, for sure. The on-site restaurant is convenient and 100% accommodating to guests’ mealtime schedules, and the kitchen and reception staff are equally jovial and kind - always a smile- always happy to please. The hotel is set in a really unique place- it’s built into to cliff-sides of a steep valley which gives the authentic cave-room stays that guests are looking for in Cappadocia, but, as an added uniqueness, it sits face-to-face with a cliff of unmodified traditional cave dwellings. It’s incredibly awesome to look out into the valley and find yourself steeped in the history of Cappadocia. I’m the evening it’s quiet and relaxing. The trial below the hotel is easily accessible and offers a 8km walk in either direction that leads guests through an off-the-beaten-path opportunity to explore the landscape on their own, if they wish. I walked several km myself, taking time to climb on and interact with the ancient cliffs and caves along the way. During my stay, I scheduled a massage with Ismail- the experience was so relaxing I ended up booking a second one the day before my long travels home. Definitely recommend. If you’re looking for a place to feel completely worry-free, relaxed, rejuvenated, and authentically wrapped in a cave hotel experience - you can’t beat Splendid Cave. I will absolutely be returning to what is now one of my very favorite places!

We stayed in this unique hotel as part of our tour of Turkey. It was a great experience to sleep in a cave for three nights. The setting in a cave was completely unique as was the location in a small village. View from the terrace is amazing. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and clean with comfortable bedding and a cute outdoor sitting area with beautiful views. I was worried about the temperature in the room being too warm as there are no thermostats in the rooms. However, it wasn't bad at all as we just opened the window before we went to bed which helped to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The staff were most friendly and attentive. The restaurant served a delicious and decadent breakfast every morning with a large variety of food and beverages. Also, right in the front of the hotel is the start of a trail through the valley of the ancient cave city. The village of Goreme and the balloon launching sites are approx a 15 minute drive away. I highly recommend this amazing hotel.

I loved staying at the Splendid Cave Hotel. Staff were very kind and helpful and made us feel safe and welcome. As a young group of girls travelling it was important we stayed in a place which felt comfortable. The views were amazing and the breakfast buffet was delicious (there was so much to choose from!). The place was cleaned every day which was amazing. The place was also local to a lot of restaurants which made it easy for us to get late night snacks, or have dinner without going out too far. A special thank you to the owner for helping us out when my friend had a quad biking accident, he made sure we were looked after properly and didn’t rush us to leave during check out. Very hospitable :) I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for place to stay with great views, lovely food and kind staff.
