Pension Vilanova

I was a little skeptical of this place bc I had to leave the path of el Camino to get there, but it was the BEST place I stayed along the way. I had a private room with private bath in the rear of the home and it was the best sleep I had in over a week. I was nervous that it wasn’t near the city for restaurants, but they had a fridge stocked with ready made meals. I had the chicken and rice which was microwaved, but still better than most meals I had eaten already. The owners are super friendly and unbelievably accommodating. I would recommend this place a million times over.

We had such an amazing stopover here. It is so relaxing - like sitting in a friend's kitchen. Able to mingle with other guests - mainly pilgrims and chat about the day's experience. Food is a click and serve convenience - but of very good quality. Plenty of choice. We had the top floor which was a self catering apartment - very clean and spacious

Vilanova was easy enough to get to; the staff provided directions with a handy map via email the day before our stay, which was great, since you have to take a bit of a diversion from the Camino to get here. The pension ticked all the necessary boxes and the staff were nice. The shower in my room was super tiny, which, even as a tiny person required some acrobatics from me. The room smelled a bit musty, which was kind of off-putting. My Camino companion's room was the same--nice, comfortable bed, clean--but had an overpowering sickly sweet smell of... maybe cleaning spray meant to cover the mold smell? I don't know. Overall, Vilanova was acceptable but the smell was... a lot. Also, you had to run across the main road out front if you wanted to walk down to the town to explore, which was dicey! If you stay here, perhaps be prepared to bring/make your own food at the pension versus going out. Or just make sure your tired Camino legs still have enough energy to hustle across the main road. :)

We stayed here for 1 night on the Camino Inglés. Pluses: Big airy rooms Free fast wifi Comfy beds Aboveground pool outside (in June it was closed) Big garden for relaxing (but it was raining for us) Friendly helpful staff Small do-it-yourself meals can be purchased or made in the dining area Quiet, clean, secure Lots of outlets Close to a massive grocery Minuses: It's about 1 kilometer north of Siguero town. It's an easy walk to town, but it's not super convenient or nice (crossing busy freeways, etc) A bit hard to find unless you're watching the spray painted arrows VERY carefully Overall, I would recommend a hostal closer to Siguero.

Accueil sympathique. Petite chambre , salle de bains privative. Literie confortable. Jardin avec petite piscine . Parking facile dans la propriété. A environ 14 km de Santiago. Possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner mais nous ne l’avons pas testé.

Pilger bekommen eine Erklärung und es ist gut zu finden, sehr nette Pension mit eigenem Stil, „terracotta - ländlich, Zimmer angenehm groß, Bad tip top, Terrasse, Garten, Wäscheständer. Mir hat die Bar gefehlt, es gibt einen Kühlschrank, mit Fertiggerichten, die zubereitet werden, und Getränke aber das fand ich so mäßig toll. Es liegt etwas außerhalb, und das die nächste Bar war nicht in dem Radius, den ich abends noch laufen möchte. aber gut schlafen.
